Summer
Challenge Day 1: Red
So, I’ve decided to join a
group of Danish girls in a summer challenge. It’s a challenge that’s been
running before, amongst other bloggers, but none of us Danish have participated
before, so we thought we’d give it a go. We’re going to run it every other day
instead of every day, in order to be able to keep up.
This first day calls for red. I really like red, even
though I don’t wear it that often. I’ve just bought myself a new one in a blog
sale, and decided that I might as well use that for this first day of
challenges. It’s a polish from Revlon, it’s a matte suede and it’s called Fire
Fox.
Application was a dream and it only two coats to reach
opacity. And the sun was actually out for one single photo of this pretty
polish:
And here’s an indoor shot. Isn’t this just gorgeous?!
The challenge wants me to stop here, but seriously?
Just red nails with nothing on them? I don’t think so!
I decided to dot on it! I used another polish from the
same blog sale, namely one from “Beauty Concepts”. It doesn’t look as if it’s
got a name, but it’s metallic silver. I dotted in random sizes all over the
nails, and here’s what that looked like:
Note to self: Check if this polish works as a stamping
polish!
Then I used a black crème polish from Jesse’s Girl and
dotted inside the largest of the silver dots. Now we’re almost there:
And last, but not least, a layer of China Glaze “Fairy
Dust” – you know I love glitter and shimmer! :D
Here’s the final result, after I put on a layer of
Poshé top coat.
Check out these other Danish girls’ blogs to see what
they came up with:

Stay tuned the day after tomorrow - same bat time,
same bat channel - for orange nails!
