A England: Dancing With Nureyev

A England: Dancing With Nureyev
A violet-blue shade that merges beautifully with its prismatic nature, a most sublime partnership

The formula of "Dancing With Nureyev" is great and the polish applies effortlessly. I used two super easy coats for full opacity, and one would actually have been enough. The drying time is really good.

The stamping design is from my new stamping plate "PY-X006". I stamped with "Fuchsia Flash", a gorgeous stamping polish from Colour Alike.

Here's the final design, including a layer of topcoat. The photo is taken with flash.

Here's a semi blurred photo of "Dancing With Nureyev" alone; two coats and no topcoat yet. The photo is taken with flash.

And here it is on its own again, in ordinary daylight.

I bought "Dancing With Nureyev" in a blog sale recently. Isn't it pretty?

A England: Nevermore

A England: Nevermore
Ruby red holographic

Here's what A England write about "Nevermore" on their website:

The raven’s provocative cry, and the only word it utters in response to the distraught narrator’s questions, ‘nevermore’ evolves from the answer to the bird’s name to a prophecy of the more macabre. When it is finally told to leave, it is this reply of “nevermore" that serves as a prophetic warning that he will never again see Lenore or rid himself of the bird.

The formula of "Nevermore" is on the thick side and the polish dries really fast. That means that it wasn't really easy to get close to my cuticles without actually getting polish on the cuticles. I did my best though and think I did pretty good.

I made two simple stripes on my nails: A baby pink and a silvery glitter. The pink is a stamping polish from El Corazón, "st-matte-106". The silvery glitter is "Glitter-Iffic" from China Glaze.

This is the end result, including a layer of topcoat.

I really like to keep it simple like this.

I really like "Nevermore", but I think I'll thin it a bit before I use it next time.

A England: New Romantic

A England: New Romantic
Described as deep violet with myriad flaming holo reflections

Here's what A England writes about the polish:

"The New Romantic movement originated in the United Kingdom in the early 1980s.

This style rejected the austerity and anti-fashion stance of punk and is characterised by its flamboyant, unusual, eccentric and ‘blurred gender’ fashion".

The formula is really good and the polish covers well. I used two easy coats for full opacity. The drying time is really good.

The stamp is from the stamping plate "UR Beautiful-02" and I stamped with Colour Alike's stamping polish "Yellow Glow".

Here's the end result, including topcoat.

A England: London Calling

A England: London Calling
Rose pink with added flaming holo

"London Calling" is a part of A England's Subcultures collection.

Here's what A England wrote about "London Calling":

This classic song by British punk-rock band The Clash is an apocalyptic, and politically-charged, rant featuring the band's signature post-punk sound that’s heavy on both electric guitars and vocals.

The title comes from the BBC World Service’s phrase “this is London calling...", which was used during WWII in broadcasts to occupied countries.

The polish didn't correspond well with my base coat and applied really patchy on the first layer. It's a shame because this polish is relatively thick and really well covering, so it has potential of being a one coater. I needed a second coat to even out the patchiness. The drying time is really good.

I dapped on a bit of white/silver glitter from Moyra called "Elise". Then I stamped flowers on top of it all. The flowers are from Born Pretty Store's stamping plate "Floral BPX-L002". I stamped with El Corazón's stamping polish "Midnight Tango".

I topped it all with topcoat to seal it up and here's my final manicure.

A England: London Calling

I think this is really pretty in the sunshine.

Here's "London Calling" alone; two coats and no topcoat. It has some really pretty rainbows.

This was a different experience for me. I love the polish in the bottle. I wasn't loving it when I applied it because it was so patchy. But once I actually wore it, I loved it again.

Bonus: Here's the video that this polish was named after. The Clash: London Calling
