Color Club ~ Back To The Grind

Color Club ~ Back To The Grind
Copper linear holo with holographic glitter

“Back To The Grind” is from Color Club’s “Halo Crush” collection from Summer 2018. There are six polishes in the collection. I bought 5 of them and left the gold one out, since I hardly ever wear golden polishes. I’m going to show you the ones I’ve got over the next days, and I’m going to link to them all by the end of each post as I publish them. I started this little journey of Halo Crushes yesterday.

The second one on the nails is “Back To The Grind”. Just like with “Break It Up” I wasn’t quite sure whether to buy this or not, but I’ve found myself attracted to coppery polishes lately, not all of them but if they look “clear”. There weren’t many swatches around when I ordered these but this one looked really pretty on the bottle picture I saw so I decided to give in and buy it. And I was not disappointed. “Back To The Grind” is super pretty!

The formula is really good and the coverage too. I used two coats for full opacity. The drying time is really good. The polish dries up a little bit bumpy because of all the glitter so hurrah for topcoat if you want your nails completely smooth. I don’t mind bumpiness at all but I always use topcoat anyway.

I stamped V-shaped design on it and made some dots freehand. The V-design is from the stamping plate “French BP-X20” and I stamped with a stamping polish from BornPrettyStore called “Wine Red”. I also made the dots with that polish.

Here’s my design, including a layer of topcoat. It’s a sunshine photo.

I am definitely not disappointed so far! This is a gem of a polish. I like the quality, the formula, the coverage and the drying time. And I fell a little bit in love with this colour, that isn’t 100 % mine. :D

Color Club ~ Break It Up

Color Club ~ Break It Up
Silver linear holo with holographic glitter

“Break It Up” is from Color Club’s “Halo Crush” collection from Summer 2018. There are six polishes in the collection. I bought 5 of them and left the gold one out, since I hardly ever wear golden polishes. I’m going to show you the ones I’ve got over the next days, and I’m going to link to them all by the end of each post as I publish them.

First one on the nails is “Break It Up”. I actually debated with self whether I should buy this or not. Let’s face the fact: I’ve got quite a lot of silver holos by now, and how different can they be, right? Wrong! This silver holo also contains holographic microglitter for extra sparkle, and it’s amazing! I’m so happy I didn’t give it a miss.

The formula is really good and the coverage too. I could have got away with a single coat if I wanted to. I did use two coats though because I prefer it like that. The drying time is really good. The polish dries up a little bit bumpy because of all the glitter so hurrah for topcoat if you want your nails completely smooth. I don’t mind bumpiness at all but I always use topcoat anyway.

I stamped a starry rainbow on it! I found the star design on the stamping plate “Mezerdoo C43”.
I stamped with four different polishes:
The yellow: El Corazón’s “Yellow”
The orange: El Corazón’s “Pumpkin”
The red: El Corazón’s “Red”
The purple: Born Pretty Store’s “Shimmer Purple”

Here’s the starry rainbow, including a layer of topcoat. It’s a sunshine photo.

I am impressed! This is a great polish in all respects. The formula and drying time is really good and so is the coverage. The shine and the rainbows are really awesome. What a great polish! I can’t wait to try the others.

BeautyBigBang Holo #10
Orange toned linear holo

Here's the third sister in a row: BeautyBigBang Holo #10.

I used two easy coats for full opacity and the drying time was average.

The design is from Born Pretty Store's stamping plate "Spring Garden-L003" and I stamped with El Corazón's stamping polish "Apple Flower".

This is the end result in the sun:
