Manhattan ~ Aqua Chrome

Manhattan ~ Aqua Chrome
Sky blue chrome

I bought today's polish in Germany. I love all sorts of finishes in polishes, chromes/metallics as well.

The formula is on the thick side and the polish covers in one single coat. I used two coats to see if it made a difference, but it didn't. The drying time is good.

I added two white stripes on each nail and applied a pretty pink and black glitter from Claire's called "Freaky Deaky" - it's number 77860.

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat.

I honestly love this!

And this is "Aqua Chrome"; two coats and no topcoat yet. And yes, that is brush strokes that you see. I don't mind that at all.

Polished for Days ~ Are You Listening?

Polished for Days ~ Are You Listening?
Cool toned purple based nail polish with pink to green shifting flakes and holographic flakes

"Are You Listening" is from "Polish Pickup" from October 2019. It's a gorgeous flakie. It works on its own, but I used it as a topper today to make it pop.

I used two layers of "Are You Listening" over a plain black crème.

The stamp is from Moyou London's stamping plate "Back to the 60s-04". I first stamped with a plain white stamping polish; and over that a purple from Dark Blond called "Nights Out".

Here's the final result including topcoat.

I found it relatively hard to place the second stamp, but I managed okay anyway.

Here's "Are You Listening" without the stamping. This is two coats over black.

These are the things I used today - minus the white stamping polish, which I forgot to add to the photo.

"Are You Listening" was only for sale in October 2019, so it's no longer available.

Number of coats: 2 over black
Drying time: Good
Finish: Flakies
Overall impression: What a great flakie!

Walking down Memory Lane with Lilypad Lacquer ~ Ruby Slippers

Walking down Memory Lane with Lilypad Lacquer ~ Ruby Slippers
Cherry red linear holo

There was a time where I was searching for the perfect red linear holographic. "Ruby Slippers" from Lilypad Lacquer was one of the polishes I bought back then. "Ruby Slippers" isn't a true red though, it's cherry red - a gorgeous cherry red! Last time I wore it was in 2014 and now, almost 6 years later, it's time to wear it again.

The formula is still flawless and I used two really easy coats for full opacity. The drying time is really good.

The stamping design is from Moyou London's stamping plate "Kitty Collection-03", and I stamped with an ordinary white stamping polish from El Corazón.

This is the final result photographed with flash to show off the pretty rainbows.

"Ruby Slippers" is also really nice out of the flash light.

Here's two coats of "Ruby Slippers" alone, no topcoat involved.

Painted Polish ~ Party Fowl

Painted Polish ~ Party Fowl
Described as bright violet ultra holographic full coverage microglitter

I love microglitters and Party Fowl is a beautiful bright violet full coverage microglitter.

The formula is good. I managed to make "Party Fowl" cover in two coats. If you have longer and/or bigger nails than me, you might need to use three coats. The drying time is really good.

The stripes are from Lina's stamping plate "Feeling Shapely! 01" and I stamped with Color Club's "Harp on It".

Here's the final result, including a layer of topcoat to make the microglitter shine to its full potential.

Look at that colour!!

Here's "Party Fowl" alone; two coats and no topcoat yet. Topcoat is definitely a must if you want this glitter to shine to the max!
