Darling Diva ~ The Arcanist

Darling Diva ~ The Arcanist
Cinnamon red linear holo

The Arcanist is from the WitchEE collection from this autum.

Darling Diva is one of my favourite indie brands. I think Carrie makes great polishes: Good quality, long lasting, great colours, and lots of holos!

I wasn’t sure whether to buy the Arcanist or not. On some pictures it showed a bit of brown side which I wasn’t sure whether I’d like or not. I bought it anyway, thinking that I’d sell it or give it away if I didn’t like it as much as it deserved.

And when it arrived I saw that it did have a brown side to it. Let’s find out if it put me off or what! I like the formula; it’s easy to work with and covering is good. I used two coats for this mani and was happy with the opacity. The drying time between the coats is also good.

And here, sweet ladies, is two coats and no topcoat, the picture is taken with flash:

The holo flame is beautiful in The Arcanist!

Here is a low light picture. It looks a bit burgundy in my pic, but from other angles it definitely looks more brown.

I gazed at it for a while, indecisive whether I liked it or not. Then I decided to spice it up. I grabbed another Darling Diva: Cast a Spell – a lovely orange linear holo, which I showed you here. I dapped a bit on here and there using an eye shadow applicator. And now I like it much better! Take a look at this flash picture:

Here’s a picture taken in my lightbox to show you the randomness of the orange :D

In case you wondered: Yes, I am going to keep The Arcanist. I do think it’s pretty after all.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Linear holo
Overall impression: Great quality, good holo effect.
Buy again: Yes
