Serum No. 5 ~ A Cup of Teal

Serum No. 5 ~ A Cup of Teal
Blue teal scattered holo

It’s a long time ago I bought A Cup of Teal at Norway Nails. When it arrived I thought it looked a little bit boring in the bottle, and then it ended in the bottom of the box of untrieds. Little did I know that I really like it on my nails! Let me show you in a minute.

The formula was great and this is a one coater, dahlings! I did apply a second coat out of habit but it wasn’t necessary. The drying time is good.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat in the sun:

And here’s a low light picture. Look at that canvas! The possibilities are almost endless with a base colour like this.

I ended up going for dots because I love dots. Since this teal is blue leaning I chose two different blue China Glazes for my dots: December to Remember and Frostbite. I love both those polishes.

Here is my final mani:

Dots are cool in my opinion. They’re so easy to make and they can spice any mani up. So yes, I love dots.

Here are the three pretties:

I feel a little bit sad for letting A Cup of Teal waiting for so long, but sometimes it’s just like that. Little did I know that it was such a sweet gem!

Number of coats: 2 (but 1 is enough)
Drying time: Good
Finish: Scattered holo
Overall impression: This is a fantastic base colour for nail art.
Buy again: Yes

I bought A Cup of Teal from norwaynails.com.

  1. I'm surprised to see you do not find it too pale - could you be changing in you view on the ligher colors LOL
It looks good on you - and I love the dotticure, it gives it a bit of edge :)

    1. It is way too pale for me to wear on its own, no, what I like about it is that it's got so many possibilities as the base colour for nail art :D

  2. Nice polish. I like dots too, they aren't appreciated much as they are easy, but I like them A LOT.

    1. Easy is good for those of us who are challenged in the free hand department so to speak. And I love when pretty things are easy to make :)
