Viva la Diva, Flormar and Icing

Viva la Diva, Flormar and Icing
A watermarble partly from the box of shame

It’s water marbling day!!

I have this box of polishes that are looking for a new home for one reason or another. I call it the box of shame. Some polishes are easy to re-home, others not so much. So I thought I’d give a couple of the polishes from the box of shame a second chance to shine.

I chose Viva la Diva’s #51. It’s in the box because it’s yellow and like many other yellows it acts like a diva, haha!! The other polish I took out of the box was Flormar #389. It’s a burgundy shimmer and it’s in the box because the tone is just too brown for my liking. I like eating gravy, not wearing it on my fingers.

I applied a layer of the yellow first, but only one layer. If I should have worn it on its own I think I would have needed three layers. What is it with yellows and all the layers!?

I applied a layer of Icing’s Inner Goddess on top of the water marble. That polish is not in the box of shame. It could have been though, because it’s a really close dupe to a lot of other holo microglitter toppers I have.

Here are the three polishes I used.

This is not my colour scheme at all. Do you like it anyway? And do you understand why these two poor polishes live in the box of shame??

What I learned in my water marble session today:

  • Liquid Latex around the cuticles works fabulously!

  1. I've seen prettier shades on your blog, so I understand. They look good in this marble, better than they'd look solo, I suppose.

    1. I don't think I'd wear any of them on their own. Together they are ok I guess :D

  2. I think it's quite bold and interesting, and I love the glitter in it!!

  3. Hmmm I like this combination of colours! Maybe alone they're not so pretty! The flormar seems bot so bad btw!
    Kisses dear ♡

  4. Yeah I understand, I couldn't wear either of them either. They look better in a watermarble though.

    1. I agree. This way I can train my marbling skills and make patterns without feeling that I'm wasting precious polish :)

  5. The combo is very unusual but not bad :)

  6. Well, the colours themselves aren't the prettiest, but they look surprisingly nice together :D

    1. Thank you. It's nice that they get to get used just a little bit :)
