NailNation 3000 ~ #WipeOutTransphobia

NailNation 3000 ~ #WipeOutTransphobia
Purple linear holographic

#WipeOutTransphobia is from the Wipe Out Transphobia collection :D

I love NailNation 3000’s polishes. They’re really good quality so I love each and every one I’ve got.

I experience a bit of dragging when I applied the first coat, but the second coat went on easily. The drying time is good.

Here’s two coats taken with flash:

Wow, right? I love that holo flame!!

Here’s a low light picture. The colour is still really pretty.

I sponged glitter on the tips! I used VooDoo from CrowsToes. It’s a clear base packed with purple and orange glitter in various sizes and shapes. I finished the mani with a layer of topcoat, and here’s the result:

The low light picture reveals more of the pretty glitter.

Holo and glitter! Two things that go so well together in my opinion.

Ooh La Lacquer ~ I Love You Baby

Ooh La Lacquer ~ I Love You Baby
Magenta linear holo with holo shimmer

I Love You Baby is from the V-Day collection 2015. It’s a beautiful polish for sure, just wait and see.

The formula is great and so easy to work with. I used two easy coats for full opacity and the drying time was pretty average. And girl! This baby can really sparkle and shine!

Take a look at two coats and a layer of topcoat. This picture is taken with flash; it’s raining here.

Isn’t that just beautiful!? I love it!!

The best thing is that it’s super pretty in low lights too. It still sparkles and I love that.

I wore this on its own! I had so many chores this evening so I honestly didn’t have the time or energy to think out some kind of nail art. It’s okay. I honestly love this polish.

CrowsToes ~ Ingrounded

CrowsToes ~ Ingrounded
Blue base with colour shifting shimmer

Today’s polish is a little bit of a chameleon because of the colour shifting shimmer.

I used two coats for desired opacity. I have read that girls with longer or bigger nails used three coats. That’s one of the advantage of shorter nails, haha. The drying time is pretty good.

Take a look at how pretty it is in the sun:

I stood with my hand in that ray on sun for a while and gazed at how pretty it is!

That colour reminded me so much of sparkly blue water, so I stamped waves on all the nails, except for the ring fingers where I stamped fish. Both motifs are from Moyou London’s Sailor Collection-07 and I stamped with Bourjois’ Bleu Mystérieux.

Here’s the final mani including topcoat:

I love it!

I really, really like Ingrounded. How about you?

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Finish: Shimmer
Overall impression: This is such a beautiful polish in all lightings.

China Glaze ~ Liquid Leather & White on White

China Glaze ~ Liquid Leather & White on White
A Black and White water marble mani

When people talk about which black or which white polish is the best one, I often hear some recommend Liquid Leather and White on White. I’m a big fan of NailNation 3000’s Black and White (yes, that’s their names), but let’s face it, they are a little bit pricey if you don’t live in the states. So I thought I’d give these two China Glazes a go.

I don’t wear white or black polishes alone as a rule, but I will happily wear them together, and today I’ll wear them in a water marble mani. Here’s how it all ended:

That is just the way I wanted it to be. Both the China Glazes work perfectly in the water and I made the most perfect bulls eyes I’ve made so far! I’m seriously impressed.

I’m wearing the black as a base instead of the white, just to try it. And it works fine as you can see. The holo glitter on top is Northern Lights by Out the Door. I love that polish!

Here are the polishes I used:

Liquid Leather, White on White, Northern Lights

What do you think of this? I’m so pleased with how it looks and also how great the two polishes are for water marbling!

I used liquid latex around my cuticles to minimize clean up.

CrowsToes ~ Bulls#!t Detector

CrowsToes ~ Bulls#!t Detector
Neon orange textured polish with shimmer

Today I’m going to show you something awesome, just you wait and see!

I don’t really use my textured polishes very often. It’s not because I’m over them, it’s just because my holo/glitter phase seems to last forever! But Bulls#!t Detector is neon orange with holo shimmer so that was too good to give a miss.

I made this mani with it:

It’s two coats of Bulls#!t Detector. It’s really easy to work with and dries fast. And it sticks to the nails like crazy, hahaha!! :D

The pawprint stamp is from a no name Essence plate and the three other stamps are all from Mondlebunster’s BM-613. I sponged a little bit of white on the middle finger and the ring finger, just to add effect.

It’s with stamps like the tiger head you can tell that my nails are relatively small. I had a really hard time fitting it all onto my nail. It probably would have fitted better on the thumb :)

So! Do you like neon textures like this one? Or are you totally over textures as a whole?

Overall impression: Wow! Just wow!

China Glaze ~ Brand Sparkin’ New Year

China Glaze ~ Brand Sparkin’ New Year
Purple jelly with purple and holographic glitter

Here’s the last of the three glitters I bought from the Cheers Collection from Christmas 2015. You should check out Ugly Sweater Party and I Soiree I didn’t do it as well.

The formula is a little bit tricky because the polish is so packed with glitter. That makes it a bit lumpy, but it’s definitely manageable. I used two coats for my mani. The drying time was okay, it was slower than the two of its sisters, but that’s because I had to use thicker layers to make it look nice. Perhaps I should have used three thin coats instead of two thicker...

But anyway – Here’s what the polish looks like in ordinary daylight. No sun, it’s cloudy today. There’s two coats and a layer of topcoat:

Here’s a picture from the lightbox. I love glitters like this one.

I will always have a soft spot for glitter!

I stamped on it. I used a floral motif from Moyou London’s Pro Collection-14, and I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White as my stamping polish. I made mint green dots in the middle of each flower, I used a stamping polish from El Corazón for that.

Here’s the final mani including a layer of topcoat:

What do you think about that? I kind of regret that I added the mint green myself.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Okay
Finish: Lots of glitter in jelly
Overall impression: Great colour, nice glitter, a bit thick formula

China Glaze ~ I Soiree I didn’t do it

China Glaze ~ I Soiree I didn’t do it
Green glitter with a dash og blue and holographic glitter

I Soiree I didn’t do it is from the Cheers Collection from Christmas 2015, just like Ugly Sweater Party I showed you yesterday. Normally I would swatch them and show them all in one post, but I honestly wanted to wear these glittery beauties. So you get them one by one, just like I wore them. I hope you don’t mind too much.

I Soiree I didn’t do it works on its own and is not “just a topper”. I takes two easy and fast drying coats to achieve full opacity.

The sun had gone down when I was done painting, so here’s a photo taken in the low evening light. It’s two coats and a layer of topcoat:

This picture is taken in my lightbox. Look at the contrasting glitter, isn’t it just pretty??

This picture is taken with flash:

I had decided to do a watermarble on it, but my polishes weren’t in the marbling mood today. I ended up doing a water spotted mani instead. I used Color Club’s Harp on It for the purpose.

Here’s the final mani taken with flash:

I must admit that I really like the effect of this, even though Harp on it isn’t the best to do a water spotted mani with. It’s as if the polish “crumbles” on the surface when I spray the hand sanitizer on it. But never mind, I love the final result.

I’ve still got another glitter from the Cheers collection to show you – stay tuned for it tomorrow.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Glittery goodness
Overall impression: I love this glitter, both the colour and the formula

China Glaze ~ Ugly Sweater Party

China Glaze ~ Ugly Sweater Party
Pink, blue and holographic glitter

Ugly Sweater Party is from the Cheers Collection from Christmas 2015. It’s shiny and it’s glittery and it’s right down my alley.

I hadn’t seen swatches before I bought it, so I wasn’t quite sure whether this was a topper or a polish that would work on it’s own. I might as well reveal right now that it isn’t a topper. This glittery beauty works really well on its own, wait and see.

The formula is exactly what to expect from a polish loaded with glitter: It feels thick but it isn’t really. I used two coats for my mani, and the drying time between the layers was surprisingly good.

And be still my glittery heart! Here’s two coats and no topcoat taken in ordinary daylight:

The polish dries up a bit bumpy because of the glitters, it’s hardly surprising for anybody. I didn’t apply topcoat yet though. I wasn’t finished with the manicure.

I stamped on it. I found a sweater motif on Moyra Stamping Plate-02 Fabric Texture. I thought that would be very appropriate for a polish called Ugly Sweater Party, haha. I also stamped a moose on my ring finger nails. I used my faithful Black from NailNation 3000 for the stamping.

Here’s the final mani including a layer of topcoat:

The stamping drowns a little bit in all the glitter, but I don’t mind.

I bought three glitters from the Cheers Collection, and I’m going to show you the other two very shortly!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
