Orly ~ Androgynie
Black
base with multicoloured hexagons
Androgynie is from the 2011 Holiday
Soireé collection.
Orly is one of my top
three favourite brands. They made gorgeous colours and the formula is usually
very easy to work with.
That does not go for this polish though.
It’s the most difficult Orly polish I’ve worked with by far. The first coat was
almost impossible to apply – it streaked and kept pulling on the already
applied polish. The next layer helped that a lot – and got rid of the
unevenness.
Here’s two coats – no top coat.

I must admit that I’m very disappointed with the glitter value of this polish. I don’t want just two or three bits of glitter on black, on each finger. I want it to look like it looks in the bottle!
So I went and got my newest OPI – “Crown
me already” from the Ms Universe Collection. It’s basically silver glitter in
different sizes in a clear base.
That helped. Here’s one coat over the
two coats of Androgynie, and with one coat of Orly 3-in-1 topcoat.
I feel like there’s a tiny disco ball on
each of my nails! :D

That's a shame the glitter didn't transfer well and application wasn't great either but it still looks pretty :-) I haven't tried this brand before.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a pain when you can see there's so much pretty glitter in the bottle, but you just can't seem to get it to transfer to the nails!
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited over Orly! :)
Not sure how I feel about this one-
ReplyDeleteThe Androgynie would actually be so much cooler without the glitter. (Never thought I should say a thing like that! :D)
ReplyDeleteI know, it's really frustrating!
ReplyDeleteIt would have been nice to know beforehand. :)
