Kiko ~ #277

Kiko ~ #277
Pink flecks

I hope you’re in the mood for something unusual today :) I found something called a “Metallic Liner” in my local craft store, and I thought it might be useful for some nail art.

It looks like this:

It’s silver metallic. Here’s what it says on the back of the tube:

“For textile, paper, wood, metal, glass, leather, plastic, etc.”
I was sure that “etc.” meant “nails”! Unfortunately I didn’t read the small print, where it says that it takes 6-12 hours for it to dry, hahaha!!!! :D

So I made this, just to show my intentions with it:

I obviously cannot not use my hands for over 6 hours, so this only stayed on for the photograph.

The pink fleck polish is from Kiko and it’s got number 277. I used two coats for this mani and the drying time is good. It’s a really nice pink!

My idea of using this product for nail art isn’t quite dead yet though. I think I might try and use this for decals. Then it can just dry overnight.

Do you also use alternative things for nail art?

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Flecks
Overall impression: Great colour, really good polish.
Buy again: Yes to the polish. No to the metallic liner.

  1. Hahaha cool - the idea was good tho.
I don't think I would have dared to put something like this on my nails, but I guess Denmark has a good control with content in something that potentially might touch skin....

    1. I wasn't worried at all, especially because regulations are so strict here. But the drying time... sigh! :D

  3. The nail polish is gorgeous, and also the nail art is very nice but 6 hours to dry is a little bit too much. However the idea was cute. :)

  4. Interesting idea! I think it would work if you make decals with it :)
