Nubar ~ Teal Glitter

Nubar ~ Teal Glitter
Clear base packed with teal glitter

All the Nubar polishes I’ve tried have been super easy to apply and this one is no exception. The glitter glided right on, leaving almost no bald spots after the first coat. And the second coat made up for the minor mistakes I had made.

Here it is, two coats, no top coat.

The picture is taken with a different camera than my usual, I’ve borrowed a better one, but - I need to get used to it. :D I wasn’t able to take a single good picture of the glitter, but since I did want to post at least something, I went for this pic.

On second thoughts I might have to use three coats next time, just to see if it makes it look better than it did here.

I stamped on it, just to try and stamp on a glitter polish. I chose to stamp with Sally Hansen Insta-dri, the dark green colour “Jumpin’ Jade”. The plate was Konad’s M69.

It’s quite subtle, but I like it.

I must have done something wrong though, because I had the glitter all over the place, and all of a sudden I had bald spots on my nails and it didn’t at all look at all like I wanted or expected it to.

This mani didn’t last very long before I removed it.

  1. This is really pretty, it's such a shame you had to remove it. Maybe you stamped before the glitter was completely dry?

    1. Um yes, perhaps I was just too eager. I'll give it another go for sure. :)

    1. I couldn't have said that better! :)
The colour was much prettier in real life than my pics show though.

  3. I think this is really pretty! Did you seal the whole thing with a good topcoat after stamping? That always helps!

    1. I did seal it, I believe I used a generous coat of Seche Vite. I think it went wrong a bit before the sealing though.

    1. Thank you. I haven't stamped much on my glitter polishes, but I think I'll try to do that more. It actually looks alright. :)
