Savina ~ Brilliant

Savina ~ Brilliant
Clear base packed with purple and blue glitter

If this isn’t your first visit here, you must know by now that I love glitter. I found Savina’s Brilliant in a blog sale, but let me introduce the underwear before I get to the glitter.

I also found my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri “Instant Iris” in a blog sale, but in a different one :) I like the Insta-Dri line because they usually stamp so well. I am not sure that Instant Iris will stamp quite so well though, because she’s not as pigmented as her sisters. It took two easy coats to reach desired opaqueness. The formula is great, but I don’t expect less. I’ve got quite a few Insta-Dris by now.

Here’s a pic of two coats, no top coat:

Pretty, isn’t it? I like that it’s so vibrant and clear, and I love the shine!

Savina’s Brilliant is a clear base packed with purple and blue glitter. I love that combo. I’ve got a couple of other brands that made this combo as well – perhaps I’ll do a comparison post before I get rid of some of them.

Anyway – I taped my nails diagonally across, and applied to coats of the glitter. I removed the tape right after having applied the second coat, and it didn’t give me any issues. I had made sure to let the Instant Iris dry well before I started playing with the tape. I am pretty sure you can make this glitter opaque on its own, and I think it takes three coats. I’ll try that one day for sure!

When the glitter was dry I applied a coat of Poshé top coat, and I was done:

And from a different angle:

I really like two coloured manis at the moment, and I hope you don’t find it too boring that I return to taping manis, because I really like them!
