El Corazon ~ I am a bright Rainbow

I bought 8 polishes from El Corazón’s I am Bright-collection. The moment I saw them I knew I was going to make a rainbow with them. They’re bright and the formula is amazing.

I started out with a new favourite white, namely Essence’s Wild White Ways. It’s a super cheap super cool white polish. It’s easy to work with and it’s almost a one coater! Wow, right? And it’s cheap too – a total winner.

Anyway: Back to the rainbow. I stamped my nails first with a motif from Infinity Nails-106. Then I dotted all the colours in, and this is what it ended up looking like:

I have a layer of Out The Door’s Northern Lights on top. A rainbow can’t have too much glitter either!

I made the dots kind of diagonally across each nail. I think that really works.

Aqua linear holo

Andrew is from the Overboard 2015 summer collection.

The formula is good and I used two easy and fast drying coats for my mani.

You’re looking at two coats and no topcoat here. The picture is taken with flash.

It’s described as both blue and green. I’m not quite sure about what colour I think it is :D

I played with some decals I bought from Aliexpress. And I made a few dots on all the other nails with El Corazón Kaleidoscope from the ‘I am Bright’ collection. It’s number 07 and its name is The Wedding.

I must admit that I really like this. The decals match the colour of Andrew perfectly. I also like the dots on the other nails. So yes, this is a winner to me.

Powder Perfect ~ Vampire’s Chalice

Red scattered holo

Vampire’s Chalice is the other half of Powder Perfect’s Halloween Duo for 2015. I showed you Venomous Serum yesterday, click here if you missed that post. LINK

The duo is limited edition and only available from Mei Mei’s Signatures.

The formula is good and easy to work with. It feels like it’s a jelly, but I still only used two coats for full opacity. Unlike its sister, this one dries up completely smooth and shiny.

Let me show you my final mani and then talk you through it in a moment:

The white polish on my ring finger and the middle finger is El Corazón’s M&S-172 from the matte&shine collection. I love that white for nail art. I’m wearing two coats here. I made the stripes with Vampire’s Chalice and Venomous Serum. The studs on my pinkie and my pointer is from evilBay.

The low light picture may reveal that Vampire’s Chalice isn’t bright red, it’s got a feel of burgundy to it. It’s a really nice colour though.

Powder Perfect ~ Venomous Serum

Powder Perfect ~ Venomous Serum

Holographic blue with red microglitters and bright blue flakies

Venomous Serum is a part of Powder Perfect’s Halloween Duo for 2015. The duo is limited edition and only available from Mei Mei’s Signatures. Oh those store exclusives are killing me!

The formula is good and easy to work with. I used two coats for full opacity. The polish dries up a bit gritty because of the microglitter but a single layer of topcoat fixes that easily.

The topcoat also made the microglitter shine clearer. I like that.

The stickers are from a chain store here called “Tiger”, an equivalent to The 2 Dollar Store. They’re not worth the money though. They were so hard to get off the backing paper, so I ruined a lot of them before I managed to get some off in one piece.  This picture is taken in the lightbox so you can see the red microglitter and the blue flakies.

I like red and blue together.

I must admit that it’s a pleasant surprise to see a Halloween polish that isn’t purple or orange. Not that I mind neither of them, but variety is good. Tomorrow I’m going to show you the other half of the Duo, Vampire’s Chalice, and that isn’t purple or orange either :D
