Color Club ~
Trippie Hippie
Electric blue
with microshimmer
This blue beauty is from the Poptastic Collection from Summer 2010, but I bought it online only recently so it’s still around. I’ve some people have written that it’s a one coater, but that wasn’t the case for me. I don’t know if it’s because I didn’t apply the polish thickly enough - I don’t think so, because this polish’ formula doesn’t invite putting it on in thick coats. It’s pretty easy to apply though, and it took two coats to reach full opacity.
I love Color Club polishes. It’s so seldom they let me
down. There was one thing that made me wonder – and that was the smell of this.
It doesn’t smell particularly bad, just really weird! In fact I went online to
check if it happened to be one of these scented polishes, but it isn’t. So I
don’t know what’s up with this, but it definitely smells different to the other
Color Clubs I own – and I do own quite a few. :)
Anyway – let’s move to the pic. Here it is!
I don’t wear any top coat on that pic, because I
already knew that I wanted to stamp on the Trippie Hippie. I chose a star
design from a fauxnad plate called KD3, and I used Essence’s stampy polish
“Stamp me! Silver”.
After a coat of Seche Vite top coat I was ready to go.
I love stars, so this mani is *so* me!!

You can never go wrong with stars :-) I love the colour combination you used.
ReplyDeleteI love putting stars on my nails :)
DeleteThat blue is SO gorgeous! I love it with the stars too. I always forget to use my color clubs because I keep most of them in the boxes I bought them in. I should take them out and make them more accessible.
ReplyDeleteI was amazed over how beautiful this blue was on the nails!
DeleteIn the beginning of my "nail polish career" I used to keep my China Glazes in boxes, but I had the same problem as you have with your Color Clubs - I didn't use them very much. So now they're all out of the boxes. :)
Skreg højlydt da jeg så stjernerne.. Det er super fint! :)
ReplyDeleteTark! Jeg var også meget tilfreds med, hvordan det endte med at se ud. Jeg fik næsten lyst til at lave det amerikanske flag. :)
