Zoya ~ Reva
Strawberry red
packed with golden glass flecks, almost multichromic
It’s Zoya themselves that describe Reva as strawberry
red. Here’s the exact description: A cool
toned strawberry red with glowing golden metallic sparkle. A very rich
and luxurious looking gilded red.
I don’t totally agree on that. It’s red, yes, but the
golden metallic fleck makes the polish look almost like a multi chrome! I’ll
get back to that shortly.
The formula was a dream to work with. I’ll almost call
it self-applying polish! It was pretty much opaque in one coat, but I gave it
two, to cover the last couple of thin spots. Drying time was pretty much
average.
Here’s a pic taken in the sunshine. The metallic
flecks make it glisten like crazy, and the golden glow disappers completely and
makes it my kind of polish. You should know by now that I prefer silver to
gold, also when it comes to nail polish.
Here’s an indoor shot. The golden glow is now visible, and when I twist and
turn my fingers, the polish looks multi chromic – shifting from red to golden
and magenta.
Here’s a pic taken from a different angle. I like the
structure of this polish, I find it very pretty.
I stamped on it, using Konad’s white stamping polish
and Mash stamping plates, number 45 for the swirly design and number 49 for the
stars.
Then I topped it with a layer of CND Sapphire Sparkle
to bring back the shine and sparkle to the mani!
I am unable to decide whether I like this or not. I
like the white and red together, but perhaps there’s a bit too much going on with
my nails? Please let me hear your thoughts!

Whoha, what a load of nice flecks, it's gorgeous both with and without the nice stamping!
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of polishes - shimmer, shine and fleck, and I'm a happy girl!
DeleteWow, it looks stunning in the second photo! I like red and white together but personally I think it would have looked better with only the star stamp.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know what you mean. There is a lot going on as they are now! :)
DeletePretty polish! I think I like it better without the stamping, it's already so complex!
ReplyDeleteThank you, and you're right: The polish is pretty amazing on its own :)
DeleteWoa, it's so gorgeous! And I like it better without the stamping, this time.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I did kind of regret at least some of the stampings :)
DeleteWow, again one amazingly beautiful polish! <3 <3 <3 I like the golden glow and I think it's nice for you to have something different to try out even if you prefer silver over gold. You might still start to like it. ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the stamping as well, but next time I'd try with golden pattern, I have a feeling it would look even better. And there is still red and pink going on, not just golden, so it's a contrast. It would be perfect for Cristmas though. :)
That's a really good point. Perhaps I should just buy myself a golden stamping polish and see how that works out! And yeah, who know, I might even start to like golds at some point :D
DeleteI love red and pink - and I'm sure I'll use this for Christmas as well.
Thanks sweetie! <3
I don't think there is too much going on here-i personally just don't like that base color-maybe if you had stamped with a gold to match the shimmer?
ReplyDeleteYes, perhaps that had been a better idea. I don't really have any gold stamping colour though, I never thought I needed one, haha! :D
DeleteAmazing polish, I like it with stamping! I don't see anything "too much" here
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed with the two Zoyas I've got. I might invite some more of them to stay over :)
DeleteSo pretty with stamping,I love this polish also in matte look:)
ReplyDeleteI didn't think of mattifying it, but I'll do that next time. Thanks for the tip! :)
DeleteI love Reva! It's just such a pretty red. And the white stamping you added works so well with the red. :-)

Thank you Yun, that's so sweet of you :)
