Crowstoes ~ Morticia

Crowstoes ~ Morticia
Clear base packed with red, silver and black glitter bits in various shapes and sizes

I almost swooned when I saw this glitter bomb from Crowstoes. It’s red, black and silver, and it’s loaded with glitter!

I thought a lot about what colour to layer it over. Red is too obvious, and besides, I didn’t want the red glitters to drown. Silver would be too boring, and the same with black. I ended up choosing a fantastic purple from A England: Avalon. There’ll be a picture of that later in the post – but this is mostly about Morticia, so we’ll get to that later.

I only applied one coat of glitter. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen a polish that was so well loaded with glitter. One dip in the bottle per nail and everything looked sweet. I actually think I could have worn this on its own in only two coats! Allow me to demonstrate what it looks like:

See what I mean? This is ONE coat of glitter over the purple.

There’s a lot going on there, don't you think? But definitely not too much if you ask me :)

You can see silver glitter and hexagons, red glitters, black bar glitters and hexagons. I’m totally overwhelmed by the glitters, and I can assure you that that doesn’t happen very often!!

Disco ball moment – that’s for sure!!

A closer look:

Here it is on a nail wheel. The red is A England “Perceval” and the purple is A England “Avalon”. That’s how I decided that purple was what I wanted. I actually ended up applying this glitter over my already red toenails, and it looks just great!

Here’s a bonus picture of A England Avalon. Isn’t this just a beautiful purple? It’s two coats, btw. Some people claim that it’s a one coater, but I think it needs two coats to present itself perfectly!

Here’s another bonus picture. It’s Morticia Addams (played by Anjelica Huston). I loved The Addams Family, and am a big Morticia fan!

I’d say that if you love red and black, and are a glitter fan like I am, then Morticia is a great buy. I promise that the glitters won’t disappoint you, they’re absolutely fabulous.
