Liquid Sky Lacquer ~ Teal it like it is

Liquid Sky Lacquer ~ Teal it like it is
Thermal scattered holo that shifts between light teal and blue

This is the first thermal polish I’ve ever had, and to be honest I didn’t even know that it was a thermal polish I had got my hands on.

The formula is good, and the polish applies easily. After I had applied the first coat I wondered, like, what the…? – it was as if it got very much lighter when I applied it. So – OK, I figured that a second coat would turn the polish on my nails into the colour in the bottle, but no. Then I applied a third coat, and even though it was opaque, it was still much lighter than in the bottle. So I went online to see if other bloggers had experienced the same thing, and that is when I realized that this wasn’t just an ordinary polish :D <slaps forehead> It changes colour with the temperature. When it’s warm, it’s a light teal colour and when it’s cold, it shifts into a darker blue. My hands are usually cold, but it’s warm here, so that’s why polish didn’t look like it does in the bottle. In fact: This is what it looked like:

The holo is scattered and not very strong, but I’m seriously fascinated by the colours! It almost looks like a gradient!

I went out into the bathroom to test the effect. I held my fingers under the cold water, and behold! Look at the pretty colour that showed up!

Yes, my fingers are wet! You know why! ;)

And this is what it looks like when my fingers are getting warm again – the colour changes from the top of the nails and downwards:

Almost back to normal temperature here:

This is a spectacular polish indeed. I haven’t got anything like it in my stash! I like the darker colour best, so I’m looking forward to wearing this in the winter, where my hands are permanently cold! :D

Great polish, great formula, great effect. It is a fun polish indeed! Coolio!

Opacity: 6/10
Colour, prettiness: 7/10 (6 for the lighter shade, 9 for the darker)
Durability: 8/10
Value for money: 8/10
Overall: 7/10
Buy again: Probably not

    1. That's true. And it works even better for girls with longer nails than me, because the tips are more away from the fingers, um.. you know :)
