Tonic
Polish: Euphorealis
A thermal
polish that transitions from bright violet to an almost invisible lilac tinted
ice grey with a soft mint iridescent shimmer that shifts to blue
"Euphorealis" is part of the group custom
"For The Love Of Polish" for November 2020. November's theme was
"Aurora Borealis".
The
formula is sheer so I used three coats to achieve full opacity. The drying time
is good.
The stamping design is from the stamping plate "Mezerdoo C47". I
stamped with a dark purple stamping polish from Born Pretty Store.
I topped it all with a holo glitter topper from Top Shelf lacquer caller
"It's Not What You Drink".
This is the final result in the lightbox. My fingers are cold at this point.

This is the same thing under a lamp to show off the mint green shimmer. My fingers are still cold.

I tried to make the polish shift by sticking my fingers under the warm water tap but absolutely nothing happened. I tried ice cold water, luke warm water and really hot water but no colour change at all. I thought I had received a bottle where the thermality had died already. Later that day I had a cup of tea. My fingers got warmer and warmer as I drank my tea and behold! All of a sudden the polish changed. I grabbed my camera to catch what it looks like in its warm state - and here it is:

Here's "Euphorealis" alone; three coats and no topcoat. It's in its cold state here, and in a lightbox.

And here are the polishes I used today.
Here are links to the two other polishes in November's FTLOP box:
Polished For Days: Polar Lights
Pahlish: Solar Wind
Number of
coats: 3
Drying time: Good
Finish: Thermal
with shimmer
Overall impression: I like this polish best in its cold state
Buy again: No
That has a killer shimmer! I love it :-D
ReplyDeleteI had a feeling you'd like this one :D
DeleteI like it, very pretty in both states, cold and warm :-) I have a big problem with thermal polishes because my hands are always cold, so I can rarely enjoy them and making swatches of those polishes is very frustrating for me as I have to warm my hands with hairdryer... :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I know that feeling. My hands are always cold too, and often I only like one of the two colours in the thermal polishes - and often it's the "warm" one I like best - and that's the one I hardly ever get to see :D
