Denim blue that dries up to a silky finish

Denim has been on my wish list for a little while now, and I was happy to finally enrol it into my stash. It’ll be interesting to see if it actually lives up to my expectations!

The formula is really good. It could have been a one coater if I had been more careful with application. I had a couple of thin spots though, so I applied two. Drying time between the layers is good, which is a huge plus for me. The polish dries up semi matte, and with a very interesting finish. But enough of the talking, let’s look at the polish.

Two coats, no top coat:

The polish actually looks darker on my nails than it looks in the bottle. I wasn’t quite sure if I liked that or not to begin with. But after having taken all the pics, I decided that yes, I do like it :)

On this pic you can see that the polish still shines even though it’s also semi matte. Like I said – an interesting finish :

From this angle the finish shows well. I really like the effect of polishes that are both shiny and velvet-y at the same time!

It’s stamping time! I used the big stamping plate DRK-A and Essie’s “Nothing Else Metals”. I topped my design with a layer of Poshé top coat, and my mani was done:

I was thinking of stamping with white, but I like the result of this. The softness of Nothing Else Metals goes well with the blue denim!
