Emily de Molly ~ Seeing Red

Emily de Molly ~ Seeing Red
Magenta-ish red linear holographic

I showed you my first Emily de Molly just yesterday, and I’m really eager to show you the other holo I bought, namely “Seeing Red”. It’s described as “red with grey undertones, not a true red”. It’s not a true red for sure, but to me the undertones are magenta or pink, and in low light this polish shows red and pink.

But anyway – you’ll see for yourself soon! I’ll have to tell you about the formula first though: It’s just as great as her sister Indigo Flow; the polish just glides right on. No aqua basecoat is needed, I just used my regular basecoat. No dragging. No bald spots. Just perfection on my nails! That makes me very happy! The polish dries fast too! Let me get to the point! Here’s a pic of two coats, no topcoat:

That seriously makes me go “oooooh!”. And "aaaaah".

Can you see both the red and the magenta/pink in this polish, or is it just me?

Let me try from a different angle:

I love that this polish doesn’t have the coral tone that I dread so much! I love my holos, but the coral ones can’t live here. They just don’t belong :D

I didn’t quite know what to do with it. I didn’t want to stamp again – so I ended up with a very simple dotticure: Four dots in alternate sizes down each nail. I used a Milani polish called “Silver Dazzle”, which is a charcoal one coat glitter. I haven’t tried it for a full mani yet. But here it is on “Seeing Red”:

First I regretted not doing something cooler, but seriously, I like dots a lot.

Is this another winner from Emily de Molly, I hear you ask. The answer is yes. This polish definitely gets to stay in my stash <happy grin>

    1. Dots usually make a mani more interesting in my opinion, so I agree with you :)

  4. I think the dots made this manicure. A bit to bright red for my taste. Dotting tools are the one nailart thing I couldn't live without :)
