Spell Polish ~ Turn off the
lights and I’ll glow
Neon green glow in the dark
Here’s the other Spell Polish I received in my
latest monthly package from Norway Nails. It’s so much different than Troll
that I showed you in this post.
The formula is gloopy but not difficult to
apply anyway. It dries a little bit faster than average. At first I thought it
dried fast, but don’t let the dry looking surface fool you like it fooled me! I
wasn’t content before I had applied three coats. The polish dries up semi
matte, but I needed to apply a layer of topcoat to smooth out the little
irregularities I had. Oh, and I have to mention the smell too – it smells odd.
Not bad, just odd.
So here’s what three coats and a layer of
Essence Top Sealer looks like in the sun:
It was way more neon in real life, but it got
too much for the camera! :D
Here’s a picture from my lightbox. That shows
the neon just a little bit better.
And! This polish glows under UV light. I
haven’t got any UV-lamps though so I couldn’t take a picture of that. But it’s
also a glow in the dark-polish, so I obviously tested that out.
It’s my first attempt to take pictures of a
nail polish in the dark, so please bear with me, okay? Here it is:
Here's the matching card, that came with the polish:
The glow in the dark effect is not going to
keep you awake at night, but it’s cool that it’s there.
Number of coats: 3
Drying time: Average

Finish: Neon that glows in
the dark and under UV-lights
Overall impression: I love the colour and I’d wear it just for that. Forget about the glow in the dark, that’s not this polish’s greatest feature

Colour is great, the glowing is funny, but I don't like odd and strong smells. Ferity has them.
ReplyDeleteI would love a polish that would glow after a while too! :D
DeleteIt's really cool - and if it's even more neon green in person I'm guessing you needed sun glasses :D
ReplyDeleteSunglasses are a must for sure, it's amazing! :)
DeleteOooh soo cool. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed :)
DeleteYou have slowly been converting me from a neon hater to a neon lover. So bright so cool, not sure bout weird smelling polish though.
ReplyDeleteUh, that's amazing to hear! I've become fond of neons lately as the formulas get better and better too :)
DeleteWhat a bright and bold colour! I like these sorta shades. It is cool that it glows too - I've got the Essence glow in the night polish, that I must try at some point. Not really thought about how to photograph it though! :-)
ReplyDeletePhotographing it was a challenge, because I've never tried photographing in the dark before. It was fun to try! I'm looking forward to seeing your attempts with the Essence :)
DeleteGosh I love both the day pictures and the night one!! This is a must have!! Once again I love the matching card :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see it on you - and the gorgeous pic you'll take of it :)
DeleteI love neons, this one looks great! ^_^
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
DeleteNever had a glow in the dark polish... I love how bright it is!
ReplyDeleteMe too! It's my first :)
