Morgan Taylor ~ Just for the Occasion

Morgan Taylor ~ Just for the Occasion
Blackened purple base with magenta shimmer

Just for the Occasion is from the Home for the Holidays collection from Christmas 2014.

This polish is amazing! The formula is great and if you’re careful you can get away with one single coat. I did two because that’s the way I roll, haha! The drying time between the coats is really good.

Here’s two coats of the vampy Christmas-polish:

Take a look at that shimmer! Isn’t it just great?!

I added holo. One coat of my favourite holo topper: Rainbow Syrup from Ellagee. It dulled the underneath colour a bit, it’s the first time I experience that. Never mind – it’s still pretty:

I should have stopped right there, but unfortunately I didn’t. I made the mistake of putting dots on it. First I made silver dots with HD from Milano. After that I made smaller blue dots on the biggest silver dots. I used Morgan Taylor’s Rhythm and Blues for that. A layer of topcoat finished the whole thing off, and here’s the final result.

Here’s a low light picture:

And the polishes:

I didn’t like this at all. I looked at it for a couple of hours and then I took it all off again.

Number of coats: 2 (but 1 is enough)
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Shimmer!
Overall impression: Now that’s a really nice shimmer
Buy again: Yes
