Glittering Elements ~ Special OOAK 4

Glittering Elements ~ Special OOAK 4
Greyish goldish with pink shimmer

I received Special OOAK 4 in a grab bag full of prototypes. It’s really hard to describe colour-wise, but it’s gold and in some angles grey, and the shimmer is pink.

The formula is good and the polish covers in two coats. the drying time between the layers is good.

First I’ll show you what two layers and no topcoat looks like photographed with flash:

Isn’t that shimmer just amazing? I love it!
This picture is taken in my lightbox. This shows the goldish side, and the pink still peaks through.

I added holo because that’s how I roll. I used Liquid Sky Lacquer’s holo top coat which greys the base colour some, but in this case I really don’t mind that much.

Here’s the Glittering Elements with one layer of LSL’s holo topcoat taken with flash:

I love that the pink still shows itself!

This last picture is taken in the lightbox. The holo top coat has now greyed the gold and turned it into … I am not sure what that colour is called. I didn’t think I would like it, but I do.

I tried to make a gradient with jellies on top of this, but I accidentally dented two of the nails in the clean up process, damn! So I removed it all again because that’s also how I roll! The idea of a gradient over a holo is not dead in my head yet though!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Duochromatic shimmer
Overall impression: The colour is odd but I like the shimmer. I like it the most with a holo topper over
Buy again: No

  1. Before starting reading I thought WHAT - then I saw it was from a grab bag LOL
It is super unique and very interesting, but really out of your normal color range - mine too for that matter!

  2. I think it's different! And with the holo topper you've created an interesting holo polish.
