SMYTC Challenge Day 2: Candy Cane

SMYTC Challenge Day 2: Candy Cane

Welcome to day two of this Christmas Challenge. It’s the second time I’ve done a Candy Cane mani, and I haven’t renewed myself since last year, when I did one. But anyway – I doubt that anybody can remember manis that far back, so here goes.

I used a new polish from H&M as my base. It’s called Snow White, and that’s exactly what it is. It glistens and sparkles, and it’s sooo pretty. It’s everything I expected OPI’s Happy Anniversary to be, at one fifth of the price! Amazing. I still remember how disappointed I was in Happy Anniversary. It took three coats to be opaque, drying time was a disaster and it chipped faster than anybody would have imagined.

The formula on Snow White is great, drying time is good, and it only takes two easy coats to get it opaque. H&M, I love you!

Here’s what two coats, and no top coat looks like:

Then I used my red, glittery striper to make the stripes. It’s from NYX and it’s called “Red Glitter”. I wonder how they came up with a brilliant name like that, haha! ;) I topped it all with a layer of Finger Paints top coat, and my Candy Cane mani was done:

Here’s the two polishes I used:

You should also check out what the other girls made. Perhaps they were more creative than I was!
