Dare to Wear ~ On the Red Carpet

Dare to Wear ~ On the Red Carpet
Red jelly packed with red glitter

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know that I really like Dare to Wear’s polishes. They seem to fit my chemistry just perfectly

On the Red Carpet is from their Vintage Hollywood collection.

The polish is seriously easy to apply and it takes two coats to reach full opacity. Drying time is a bit faster than average, and can this baby shine?!
I believe it can!

Let me show you! Two coats, no topcoat:

This polishes is related to other brands’ versions of Ruby footwear-polishes – you know, Ruby Slippers, Ruby Pumps and other like that. I’m so pleased that Dare to Wear dared to call this beauty something other than footwear!

The pictures are all taken in ordinary daylight with flash. I had no sun available, unfortunately!

I stamped on it, and I stamped with black. I used a stamping plate from Bundlemonster called BM-323 and I just used a no name black stamping polish. I sealed it up with a layer of Poshé topcoat, which still is my favourite topcoat of all times!

It’s difficult to see, but I stamped barbed wire on three of my nails, and a large rose-design on my ringfinger and my thumb.

I think this is a polish that can actually bear such a massive black stamp over it. The glitter almost shines through, and I really like that. I’m still on the look for stamps where more of the base colour peeks through, though. I think that way too many all nail designs are too “massive” for my likings. Do you have any thoughts, ideas or suggestions about that??

So – have I talked you into buying any Dare to Wear polishes yet? ;)

  1. Oh, that is a pretty and glittery red - love it. I think the barbed wire transfers well, but cannot tell it's roses - but cool mani anyhow :)

    1. You're right, the roses are way too bold to actually show up like roses. Annoying, but I still enjoyed this mani, so thank you :)
