Darling Diva ~ BJ

Darling Diva ~ BJ
Hot pink soft linear holo with added glitters

Here’s another one of my Darling Divas, a brand that I’m becoming more and more fond of. They come up with great colours and finishes, and many of them are right up my alley.

I don’t wear pink that often, but this pink is holographic! And you already know that I’m a sucker for a good holo, don’t you!

So: Formula is great, no problems to report at all. I used my regular base coat, and the polish just glided on like a breeze! Drying time was good and so was pigmentation: It took two easy coats to reach the desired opacity. It’s a lovely shade of pink and the holo effect is a huge bonus. I applied a layer of Poshé topcoat before taking the pictures:

Isn’t that just sweet and lovely?

All the pictures are taken with flash. I’m still having camera issues <frowns> and am taking my pictures with a borrowed camera that isn’t as good as my regular cam:

I love, love, love the rainbows!

I decided to stamp on it. No surprise there, really - I used a stamping plate from Bundlemonster: BM-305 and stamped with a polish from Astor; #110, which is a burgundy polish I bought in Germany way back when. After I had stamped, I sealed the whole thing up with another layer of my darling Poshé, and lo - the mani was done:

Take a look at this and bear in mind that there are now two layers of Poshé over the holo, and it still makes rainbows! I just love that!

One last shot because this turned out exactly the way I wanted it to. I’m so happy when that happens!

This is the first time I’ve used this zigzag design, but it definitely won’t be the last....I like it a lot. So next time up, I’m going to try and do it the other way around - so that I stamp with the holo. I think that’s going to make quite a difference.

Do you like this design? And have you changed your mind about indies, like
I have myself? I wasn’t overly  impressed with the indies I saw to begin with, but I’m happy to see that now, quite a few of the indie making girls have stepped up and are making some really impressive polishes! So Bravo! and Yippee! :)

  1. It is pretty - and I have it too, but am a little bit disappointed that it isn't more pink, the bottle photos lead me to believe it would be...

    1. Even though I like wearing bright colours all year around, I would only use this in the summer, when the sun shines. That's when it is the prettiest! :)
