Morgan Taylor ~ All the right moves

Morgan Taylor ~ All the right moves
Purple glitter

It’s Morgan Taylor time again! I need to try them out to find if they’re all equally good, or what :)

I decided to go for glitter number two (see glitter number one here), and anticipated that it would be pretty much the same as the first one. I was wrong. The formula is way thicker on this one. I usually don’t mind thick polish, but this was a bit too thick even for my likings. It made it a little bit difficult to apply nicely. I did my best though, and here’s what two coats and a layer of Poshé topcoat look like:

The base isn’t blackened, but it sure looks as if it is.

It’s a pretty glitter though. It’s a mix of redish purple and blueish purple, I like that!

The thickness of the polish made the mani a little bit lumpy. I wasn’t in the mood for another layer op topcoat yet though.

Then I did something that made me regret the whole thing: I made stripes on it. Usually I love manis with stripes, but man, this seriously failed!! I failed so hard that I actually considered not showing it here at all – but I once promised to also show my fails – as a learning lesson, so here it comes.
I made stripes with two polishes from Pastel: #143 which is pastel yellow and #142 which is pastel lilac. When I was done (but not satisfied) I sealed the whole thing up with a layer of Poshé topcoat, and here it is:

This is definitely not one of the manis I’m proud of showing, but yeah. This is what usually happens when I use yellow, then it all turns to crap. So that’s definitely a learning experience right there!

So that was my second Morgan Taylor, and I’ll definitely add thinner next time I’m going to wear it. I’m sure that‘ll make it just as nice to work with as her sisters!

So girls, please tell me honestly: Have you ever made a mani that failed so much that you didn’t put it up on your blog? Would you have put this one up? ;)

  1. I can see from your photos how thick it is - when that happens to me all I can think of is to remove it or pick it hahaha
I usually show my fails too - so yes, I would :)

  2. Definitely preferred the pink shade but this is still pretty, just a shame about the thickness. There are plenty of fails I don't show on my blog :-)

    1. I preferred the pink over this one too, but I like having them both. I seriously considered now showing this one, but there you go :)
