Morgan Taylor ~ Rhythm and Blues

Morgan Taylor ~ Rhythm and Blues
Light blue metallic

It’s time to show you my last Morgan Taylor polish!

I like interesting finishes and colours. It’s not a secret that I find most crème polishes extremely boring – and I only use them as base colours for something else. They can happily look cool on others, but they’re not really for me.

I thought it was a shimmer when I added Rhythm and Blues to my wish list. But it’s not – it’s a very pretty metallic blue. And behold – it’s a one coater!! The formula is great – I had no problem with application. And drying time is cool too, no problems in that department either!

So – dear ladies – I give you one coat of Rhythm and Blues:

Amazing, eh? I’m seriously impressed, and will try to see if this actually works for stamping. I expect it will:

This is my favourite picture, because it shows the many dimensions such a metallic polish can actually have. It’s not just shine. It’s way more than just shine!

I thought I was going to stamp on this, but I changed my mind. Instead I used my mini craft punch and punched some stars in masking tape. I placed the tape on my nails, and sponged glitter on. I used Urban Outfitters’ WIP “Midnight”, which is blue and purple glitter in a clear base. The glitter isn’t quite dense enough for this purpose, so I had to sponge several times to make the stars stand out.
Note to self: Use a fast drying topcoat on this polish before applying any sort of tape!

Here’s the final mani, including one layer of Poshé topcoat:

The sun was shining like crazy, making all the bling clash a bit. Next time I’ll use a not so glittery sponging polish!

This polish is definitely a keeper – I really like the formula and drying time, and obviously also the colour and the finish. Yes, it’s a me-polish!

The verdict on Morgan Taylor polishes is also a big yes from me, so I’ll look through the available varieties, in case I get involved in another cool swap!

Do you like metallics and foil polishes?
