Cupcake Polish ~ Plant
Parenthood
Dusty sky blue linear holo
Plant Parenthood is from the In Bloom collection from April 2015.
The formula is on the creamy side and easy to work with. It was almost
opaque after the first coat, but the second coat evened out the little
irregularities. Drying time is good.
Here’s two coats and no topcoat in the sun:
The rainbows aren’t shy, that’s for sure.
Here’s a low light picture that shows the dustiness, but also the
rainbows that refused to not shine!
I decided to try some of my square nail studs. I picked turquoise as a
good colour for Plant Parenthood. I applied a slow drying topcoat and then laid
the studs onto my nails while the topcoat was still dry. When I had placed them
all, I applied another layer of topcoat – and my mani was done.

I need to practice more with the studs, to lay them down more
evenly…umm…hold on – that sounded so much better in my head ;) Aaaanyway - I
must admit that I was very pleased with this.
Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Creamy linear holo
Overall impression: Nice rainbows, nice quality polish. I would have preferred it withouth the dustiness

Pleasant mani - and this nail polish has an interesting shade!
ReplyDeleteI don't have anything quite like it :)
DeleteThe holo pigments give this polish such a shiny finish! I love the pastel studs! Can imagine that it is hard to place square studs evenly. That's why I bought them round :P
ReplyDeleteI got them round too, but I'm intrigued about the squares and the triangles and had to try :D
DeleteI like this dusty blue pastel. It's cute. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to hear that :)
DeleteBeautiful color!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteI'm torn by this one - I also have it in my stash, but I feel it is too dusty for me...
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have to try it on before you pass it on :) Perhaps it isn't so bad after all :)
DeleteIt is pretty the result! I have never used studs on my nails but I'm curious to try one day! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I think it would look cool on you too :)
DeleteIt's a very nice holo and lovely studs :-)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear you like them too :)
DeletePretty colour, its always hard to get the balance of rainbows and dustiness right. And yes I'm fond of studs too! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is, I want great holoness and as little dustiness as possible, but those two wishes sometimes clash :D
DeleteIt looks really nice, especially with these studs :)
ReplyDeleteI'll try working with studs more, because I like them :)
