Cupcake Polish ~ Plant Parenthood

Cupcake Polish ~ Plant Parenthood
Dusty sky blue linear holo

Plant Parenthood is from the In Bloom collection from April 2015.

The formula is on the creamy side and easy to work with. It was almost opaque after the first coat, but the second coat evened out the little irregularities. Drying time is good.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat in the sun:

The rainbows aren’t shy, that’s for sure.

Here’s a low light picture that shows the dustiness, but also the rainbows that refused to not shine!

I decided to try some of my square nail studs. I picked turquoise as a good colour for Plant Parenthood. I applied a slow drying topcoat and then laid the studs onto my nails while the topcoat was still dry. When I had placed them all, I applied another layer of topcoat – and my mani was done.

Low light:

I need to practice more with the studs, to lay them down more evenly…umm…hold on – that sounded so much better in my head ;) Aaaanyway - I must admit that I was very pleased with this.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Creamy linear holo
Overall impression: Nice rainbows, nice quality polish. I would have preferred it withouth the dustiness
Buy again: Yes

I bought Plant Parenthood from norwaynails.com.

  2. The holo pigments give this polish such a shiny finish! I love the pastel studs! Can imagine that it is hard to place square studs evenly. That's why I bought them round :P

  4. I'm torn by this one - I also have it in my stash, but I feel it is too dusty for me...

    1. You definitely have to try it on before you pass it on :) Perhaps it isn't so bad after all :)

  7. Pretty colour, its always hard to get the balance of rainbows and dustiness right. And yes I'm fond of studs too! :)

    1. It is, I want great holoness and as little dustiness as possible, but those two wishes sometimes clash :D
