Golden Rose Galaxy ~ #29
and #36
A couple of glitter toppers
There’s a special story connected to this post, and I know you’re going
to enjoy it.
I went to Turkey
recently, and eventually I ended up in a Golden Rose store with my friend Aylin
from Posh Nail Art ♥ *waves* Hiii sweetie!
Anyway, there was a major power outage in Turkey
that day, and the shops that don’t have their own generators were all dark.
They were still open though, you just needed to pay cash, because there was no
internet in the shops either, meaning no paying with credit cards.
Anyway, a mere power outage is not going to stop
me from buying polish, and especially not Golden Rose, which is a brand I
really love. It’d take the finale, the deciding battle, of a million year
intergalactic war occurring in the shop I’m standing in, to even make me break
my stride. So - I remained a cool cucumber, walked around in the darkness
picking polishes that looked nice. I also picked the two I am going to show you
shortly; they are both from the Galaxy collection, and I thought they were
textured polishes. Little did I know that these two particular polishes are
toppers – and #36 has got bar glitter in it too! O_o
I am going to show them to you over black.
That’s also a Golden Rose, but from the Matte collection. It’s #12 and it’s a
plain black polish. Easy to work with and covers in one single coat. Perfect!
So here they are. #29, black and white glitter
and shredded holo glitter, and #36, turquoise bar glitter and hexes with pink
shimmer. One coat over black, topped with topcoat:
The “black” one, #29, is the bottle I’m holding
on these pictures, I’m going to use that for galaxy nails at some point.
Here are the three bottles.
I bought other Golden Rose polishes in the darkness that day. Stay tuned
to see if I was in for more surprises! :D

Haha, shopping for nail polishes in the darkness can bring surprising effects :D
ReplyDeleteI like the Galaxy one! The blue one is OK too, crazy topper :)
Imagine my surprised when I saw them again in daylight! :D
DeleteHahaha, that must have been an interesting shopping spree :D
ReplyDeleteVery! I would do it again any day! :D
DeleteHi sweetie! What a day it was!!! I really enjoyed meeting with you in spite of the blackout (which is still a mystery) LOL <3 <3
ReplyDeleteSweetie, it was a fantastic day! I have to come back so we can spend some more time together! <3
DeleteSounds like a different but cool shopping. I like glitter polishes, but not bar glitter.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a great fan of bar glitter either, but in this case I don't mind so much :D
DeleteMaybe that is the way you should do polish shopping to avoid getting home with the same kind of polish you always end up buying!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, that's a really good point! :D
DeleteHi dear, what an intriguing story behind these nail polish!
ReplyDeleteAll the combos you're showing here are so interesting!
Strange red copper cup :P
Thanks for sharing,
kisses
Marghe
Hi Marghe, Thank you so much :) It was an interesting experience indeed :)
DeleteI can see why this is your favorite brand, these two are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI'm especially fond of the Matte Velvet collection. Beautiful colours and many of them are one coaters :)
DeleteLol nice story. I doubt that would have stopped me either ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice toppers I like them both :-D
It takes more than darkness to keep me away from polish :D
DeleteGood story! Picking polishes in the dark surely makes you see a surprise later! I prefer the black polish.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was so much fun because I've never tried it before :D
DeleteLOL love the story! You seem to have picked up some lovely polishes so far :D
ReplyDeleteI picked up quite a few, but ah, I need more time or more nails :D
DeleteNow that's quite a story hah :D Those are great, they look so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteBuying nail polishes in the dark, how cool! :D
ReplyDeleteNice toppers! :)
Hahaha, that was definitely a cool experience! I'd do it again anytime! :D
