Lilipad Lacquer ~ Popping Purple

Lilipad Lacquer ~ Popping Purple
Vivid purple linear holographic

Here’s another Lilipad Lacquer I bought from Norway Nails. It’s purple and holographic – it’s right up my alley for sure!

The formula is as good as I expected it to be by now. I used my regular base coat and didn’t experience any dragging or bald spots. The polish is a bit thicker than lots of other holos, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Drying time is also good, no problems in that department either. Pigmentation, yes, that’s good too. Two coats is what it takes.

Take a gander. Here is two coats, no top coat:

These pictures are taken in direct sunlight, and the holo effect isn’t as strong as in some of the other Lilipad Lacquers I’ve seen. In fact I thought that this was a scattered holo to begin with – and it was only when I looked at these pictures that I realized that it’s linear. Look at the bottle and you’ll see:

What I do like about this polish is that the colour is absolutely breathtakingly purple!

And one last shot, just because I love this!

I wanted to add some glitter. I chose a Dare to Wear called “Ready for my close-up”. It’s a blue tinted base with purple, blue and holo glitter. It’s not just a topper, it’s a real polish. I sponged the polish onto the base of my nails to create some sort of glitter gradient. One layer of H K Girl topcoat finished the mani:

I didn’t think that the base of the glitter was blue, I actually thought it was purple. The big colour difference between the polishes wasn’t as visible in real life as it is here on the pictures.

Glitter and holo in the same mani. Perfection!

And one last picture to finish the post off with:

I misread the label when I first saw this polish. I actually thought that its name was Pooping Purple and I thought that was an odd name for a pretty polish, haha!! Turns out it’s actually ‘Popping Purple’, which is a much better name if you ask me :) <sniggers to self>

I’m still impressed with the Lilypad Lacquers, and know that I’ll get more of them in future.
What about you girls? Do you know the brand yet? Have you even tried them? If yes, what is your opinion about them?

    1. I usually don't keep holos unless they're also pretty out of the sunshine. So this is a keeper :)
