Darling Diva ~ Violets are
Blue
Magenta linear holo with
blue to pink shimmer
Violets are Blue is not part of Darling Diva’s regular polish line. It’s
a polish that was available for the members of a Darling Diva fangroup on
Facebook. I am so lucky to be a member of that group, yay!
The formula is okay but the polish is a bit on the sheer side. You may
be able to get away with two coats, but I wasn’t satisfied until a third coat
was on. Drying time is really good though, so I didn’t mind the three coats so
much.
And girl! This baby really shines! Take a look at three coats and no
topcoat – pic is taken in the sunshine:
Can you see that colour shifting pigment too? I think that is what makes
this polish really unique!
Still sunshine, but in different environment. This is where the blue
really shines.
I stamped a bit on it just because I can. I used the XL stamping plate K
and I stamped with Ellagee’s “Rainbows all over your blues”. I applied a layer
of Ellagee’s topcoat “Glass” and then my mani was ready to rock:
Here’s a low light picture so you can see what Violets are Blue looks
like out of the sun:
I am glad that I snatched this while I had the chance! It has actually
also got a purple sister: “Cotton Candy Hangover”, which I’ll probably show you later today, if the sun in still shining. There are never guarantees for sunshine
in my hemisphere, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Number of coats: 3
Drying time: Fast
Drying time: Fast
Finish: Linear holo with
colour shifting pigment. A great mix of finishes!
Overall impression: Nice,
non offensive colour. What does it for me is the mix of holo and colourshift!
Buy again: Yes
It looks really god on you - holo and shiny - even if you don't like that *cough* *giggle* *cough*
