Ellagee ~ Purple Haze
smokey purple with
scattered and soft linear holographic shimmer
Here’s the last of three polishes I bought in a blogger package at Ellagee’s for a reduced price in return for an
honest review.
The formula is a bit on the thick side but it’s still easy to work with.
Opacity is really good – it’s practically opaque after the first coat. I
applied a second coat anyway, to even out the little squiddlies I made during
application. Drying time is really good, no problems to report in that
department either.
I love Purple Haze much more than I thought I would. The holo shimmer
makes the polish glow from within and it’s gorgeous!
Take a look at two coats and no topcoat:
These pictures are taken with flash to show how special it is! The holo
effect seems pink!
If you look at my pinkie and my ring finger on this picture, you can see
that the holo effect almost looks linear!
This is my favourite picture. I love the way the holo shows off!
Here is a low light picture. The holo still shows itself a little bit; I
like that.
Verdict:
This is another cool Ellagee polish. I really like the mix of holo
effects that are going on, and the colour is pretty and non offensive. The
formula is great, and I’m definitely going to try and stamp with it. I am
pretty sure that it will work, since the polish is so opaque on its own.
So basically: Polished thumbs up from me! <3
Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Drying time: Fast
Finish: Scattered holo
effect mixed with holo shimmer. A great combo!
Overall impression: I have
only got positive words for Purple Haze.
