Ellagee Prototype ~ Magenta glitter

Ellagee Prototype ~ Magenta glitter
Clear base packed with magenta, pink, black and holographic microglitter

Today’s polish is a prototype I got from Ellagee last time she offered, which is a while ago now. I love surprises and I must admit that I have been really positively surprised over how cool these prototypes are!

This magenta/holo glitter is seriously blingy. The formula is a little bit on the thick side, but fortunately I prefer that to the more runny styles. I mean, it’s relatively easy to add a bit of thinner if too thick. It’s harder to made it thicker if it’s runny, isn’t it.

I used three coats for this mani and the drying time between the coats is good. I might have been able to get away with two coats if I had been more careful, but I wanted to make sure that my camera wouldn’t pick up a tiny irregularity invisible to the human eye.

The polish dries up a bit gritty, so I added a layer of topcoat.

So here’s three layers and a layer of topcoat in the sun:

Isn’t that just amazingly sparkly!

Here’s a low light picture.

This polish would work really well as a layering polish as well. One coat over a pink, purple, magenta, blue or black would look absolutely amazing.

Why is this only a prototype? I’m sure it would sell, aren’t you?

Number of coats: 3
Drying time: Good
Finish: A massive amount of glitter in a clear base
Overall impression: Great glitter both for layering and on its own. I love the colour too!
Buy again: Yes
