Morgan Taylor ~ Something
to Blog about
Purple to brown
duochromatic shimmer
I usually like Morgan Taylor’s polishes, and I sometimes wonder why they
aren’t more popular in the blogosphere than they are.
I received “Something to Blog about” in a swap, and I must admit that it
has been sitting in my box of untrieds for a while. I’m not a big fan of brown,
not even when it’s mixed up with purple. But anyway – it can’t sit in the box
forever, that poor polish, so today is the day!
The formula is a little bit on the thin side, but I still only needed
two coats for desired opacity. The drying time is pretty good.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the duochrome effect. Take a look
at two coats and no topcoat in ordinary daylight:
I like the purple shade, but I am not
a fan of the brown side.
I meant to make a glitter gradient but the sponge was all over the
place, so I ended up applying glitter to the entirety of my nails, haha. I used
a golden/green/red/blue glitter from Golden Rose. I bought it in Turkey
and it’s got number 69.
Here’s how thoses two polishes look together.
“Something to Blog about” has now been blogged about. It’s not my colour
at all, but I can appreciate the colour shift nonetheless. What about you – do
you like the colour combo?
Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Pretty good
Drying time: Pretty good
Finish: Shimmery duochrome
Overall impression: Good
colour shift, nice shimmer, not my colour.

Pleasant mani!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Work safe is a good word for it, I think :)
DeleteLove the color combo and the glitter addition!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear that :)
DeleteI love the name - but the rest doesn't make an impression. The glitter helps a lot tho...
ReplyDeleteGlitter ALWAYS helps, hahaha!! :D
DeleteLooks like an ok polish, but it looks better with the glitter on top.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you :)
DeleteIt happens very seldom that I like color shifting polishes. Usually they have at least one hue I dislike to my skintone (green, brown, yellow...).
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, isn't it? There are lots of colour shifting polishes I avoid too, those with the golden undertones, and there are a lot of those!

ReplyDeleteThank you. It doesn't wow me at all :)
DeleteIt's a nice colour, but not 'mine' either :D
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised at all :D
DeleteIt's a nice colour. I picked this one up...untired though lol! Nice glitter topper :-D
ReplyDeleteHahaha, another untried! I totally know that feeling! :D
