Arcane Lacquer ~ Colour of Panic

Do you know when you find the perfect polish for a certain event? That happened to me with this polish as I was going to a good friend of mine’s birthday party recently.

She turned 42 and had called her event “Don’t Panic!” If you don’t know how those two things are connected, then you haven’t read or seen “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. I thought that it would be perfect to wear a polish called Colour of Panic to a ‘Don’t Panic’ event!

So – the formula is good, even for a jelly. The polish covers well – I used two easy coats for desired opacity. If I look really closely at the pictures, I can see places where a third coat would have been in order, but I can assure you that it looked just perfect in real life. So two coats is what it got. Drying time between coats is good, no need to panic in that department at all. Nice!

I love the deepness of the purple and the pink glitters that swim around in it!

I didn’t even know that panic had a colour. I’m amazed :D

So : Then I stamped on it. I used a Moyou London stamping plate called Pro Collection-05 and I stamped with Color Club “Cloud Nine” from the halo hues collection. Cloud nine is a strong linear baby pink. I topped it with a layer of H K Girl topcoat, and here’s my final mani:

I love the way Color Club’s Halo Hues stamp. I use them almost only for stamping now, because they’re so goshdarn good at it.

The Colour of Panic was a good choice of polish in my opinion. And it was a great event, I enjoyed it a lot!

Durability: Good

Removal: Harder than a crème, but no big deal
Overall impression: Fantastic depth
