Pretty Serious ~ Gargoyle Ganache

It’s time for another pretty Pretty Serious polish! I love this Australian brand – I think they make awesome polishes!

Gargoyle Ganache is really hard to describe, because it’s a very complex colour. It looks purple-ish in the bottle, it’s described as gunmetal elsewhere and when I got it onto my nails, I thought it looked kinda brown. More about that when we get to the pictures!

The formula is just as great as I’ve come to expect from Pretty Serious. And Gargoyla Ganache is almost a one coater. I applied a second coat to make sure that there weren’t any thin spots when I took the pics for this post. Drying time is good, no problems to report with that either.

Here’s what two coats and no topcoat looks like:

See what I mean when I say I thought of brown to begin with? But there’s purple too, and it isn’t shy!

It’s very shimmery, and I didn’t use flash to make the shimmer pop.

I wanted more colour though! I found a glitter from Chaos & Crocodiles, Bwahaha. It’s a pink & purple multisized and multishaped glitter in a clear base - and I thought it would be perfect to bling up the gargoyle! I made a glitter gradient, applied a layer of H K Girl topcoat, and here’s my final mani:

Now that colour combo actually made the purple in the Gargoyle Ganache pop more!

Bwahaha is an amazing bunch of glitters, and there’s no fishing necessary. I didn’t fish at all. I just pulled the brush up and dapped whatever glitter on it over onto a sponge.

I wouldn’t wear Gargoyle Ganache on its own, but that doesn’t necessarily say much – I hardly ever wear any polishes on their own. I like the complexity and depth of this polish, and will definitely use it as a base for more nail art!
