Polish Addict ~ Winter Fantasy

Polish Addict ~ Winter Fantasy
Grey crelly with stars, circles, hexes, half moons and glitter in various colours

It’s time for me to try yet another new brand: Polish Addict. I love the name, it suits me just perfectly!

All the various colours of glitters in various sizes and shaped fascinate me a lot. I was curious to see how much of the glitter would actually transfer onto my nails. You know the rule: One dip in the bottle per nail and see what comes up.

The formula is a bit sheer, and it does take three coats to build up to full opacity. I was almost satisfied after two coats, but seriously, the third coat made such a huge difference! Drying time is good, and so is the amount of glitter that comes up. I’m amazed because of all the colours: turquoise, pink, blue, white, silver, green, yellow, orange… it’s like a shredded rainbow on a cloudy sky!

Take a look for yourself, here’s three coats, and a layer of Poshé topcoat:

Pretty amazing, don’t you think?

I like that the polish has so many small glitters! My nails aren’t particularly big, so small is good for me.

Like I said: I didn’t fish for the glitter. I got quite a lot of stars on the nails on my other hand, but not on my right hand here.

I wanted to do something with it, I just wasn’t quite sure what. I ended up with stamping. I used a motif from a Bundlemonster plate called BM-313 and I stamped with a cheap Chinese copy of Suzi skis in the Pyrenees.

Here’s what that looked like:

I like the way the stamp “surrounds” some of the glitters.
I still wasn’t quite finished. I added a layer of holographic microglitter from German P2 called “Just Fantastic!”. And here, sweet girls, is the final mani:

Do you like it? I must admit that I really like this. It reminds me somewhat of granite. Glittery granite! Not bad, in my opinion. What do you think? Do you know Polish Addict polishes? Can you recommend some?

Number of coats: 3
Drying time: Pretty fast
Finish: crelly, sheer on the first couple of coats
Removal: Tough - I recommend the foil method
Overall impression: I love the various sizes, colours and shapes of glitter. It makes the polish festive, which is unusual for a grey polish. It's sheer though
Buy again:I don't think so

I don't have many greys either, but once in a while it's nice with something different!
