Ellagee ~ We Wants the Redhead!

Ellagee ~ We Wants the Redhead!
a copper/red jelly base with red, bronze, rust, copper and gold glitters

I thought that We Wants the Redhead! was a topper, but it’s not. It is a polish that works on its own after just two coats. The formula is on the thick side, but it’s still easy to work with and I prefer thicker polishes anyway. The drying time between the coats is fast. Win! The polish dries up a little bit bumpy, but a good topcoat smooths that out, and makes the glitter shine even more, so I definitely recommend topcoat no matter whether you prefer non-bumpy or not.

And here’s what the polish looks like. Here’s two coats plus a layer of topcoat.

The mix of glitters is so well put together. I’m usually not into polishes with golden in them, but this is beautiful and it works for me.

Do you like this?

The glitters obviously also works in lower lights.

Here’s one last shot, just because I feel like it :D

Verdict:
This was a big surprise for me. I had expected a red/orange topper glitter, and instead I got an amazing red glitter with golden and copper in it. I love that it works on its own and that it’s so easy to work with. I especially like that the drying time is good, since that can be a problem with thicker formulas like this one – but this one dries like a dream. The glitter mix is so well put together and I think it really works; and that’s a big thing for me when I’m talking about polishes with golden colours in them.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Finish: Cool red/golden/copper glitter, dries up slightly bumpy
Overall impression: I’m really impressed with this polish! It works on all levels for me: It’s easy to work with, dries fast and looks awesome.
