Lilypad Lacquer ~ Ruby Slippers

Lilypad Lacquer ~ Ruby Slippers
Cherry red linear holo

I’ve had quite a few events that required a special mani lately, and today is no exception. I looked in all the places where I hide my polishes, and ended up picking a Lilypad that looks absolutely gorgeous in the bottle: Ruby Slippers. I was excited to find out if it could live up to my very high expectations!

The formula turned out to be just as good as I expected; Lilypads are good quality polishes, and I’ve never had one that let me down formulawise. It took two easy coats to make it look fantastic and the drying time between the coats was good!

As usual: No sun, so pictures are taken with flash.

Isn’t that just gorgeous? I love it!

And the last one with flash:

There’s another reason that I love this so much: It looks fantastic in low lights too. Take a look for yourself:

I had the stamping gear out to stamp on it, but I changed my mind last minute and went for dots instead. I pulled out another Lilypad: Steeling Blue, and my faithful Silver Holo from Urban Outfitters, and then I started dotting, but only on half of each nail. When I was done I applied a layer of Ellagee’s topcoat Glass.

Here’s the final mani taken with flash:

From a slightly different angle:

Look how cool it looks in low lights too:

And here are the pretties I used.

This just works for me and I love when that happens. I love the polishes and the mix of colours. Yeah baby!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Fast
Durability: Good
Removal: No problems
Overall impression: Stunningly Fantastic polishes, all of them!
Buy again: Yes
