Liquid Sky Lacquers ~ Mulled Wine

Liquid Sky Lacquers ~ Mulled Wine
Pink linear holo

This polish is described as both red, burgundy and wine red, but my bottle of Mulled wine isn’t any of that: It’s pink.

It’s one of them crazy holos: Easy to apply, average drying time and good coverage. Two coats is what it takes.

Here is a pic of two coats, no top coat. Isn’t this just pink?

These two first pics are flash pictures.

Here’s a low light picture. As you can see, there are still rainbows. But it’s definitely not burgundy!

I stamped on it. I found a motif on Moyou London’s stamping plate “Princess Collection-13” and stamped with a Sally Hansen Insta-Dri called “Wined Up”. I thought the name was appropriate! :D I sealed it up with a layer of Ellagee’s topcoat “Glass”, and here’s the final mani taken with flash:

And here’s a non-flash picture.

This is the first time Glass pulled on my stamping design, dagnabbit! It shows more on pictures than it does in real life, so I am sure it’s only me who notices it. But you know: We’re all our own worst critics! :)

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Average
Durability: Good
Finish: Strong linear holo
Overall impression: The colour isn’t quite me; it’s isn’t bold enough, but the stamping sorted out that little problem quite nicely.
Buy again: No

  1. Hm, it is pretty pink for a polish that has wine in its name. Still, it's gorgeous.

    1. I think it's pretty too, I like it even though I thought it would be darker :)

  3. I agree, it's pink, and while that is OK too - I surely would have been a bit unhappy if I expected a wine purple/red...

  4. I must admit it quite like the colour and the stamping is just so pretty and really goes well with the holo :-)
