Ellagee ~ Shake a Poor Sinner’s Hand

Ellagee ~ Shake a Poor Sinner’s Hand
Sparkling red/violet linear holo with holo shimmer

Shake a Poor Sinner’s Hand is from the recent Villainous Holo-ween collection and is inspired by Dr. Facilier from the Disney movie, The Princess And The Frog.
The formula is no less than fantastic – the polish glides on like butter. No need for the special aqua base coat here, any ol’ basecoat will do. The polish covers in two easy coats and the drying time between the coats is really good.

The sun is not at all cooperative this time of year, so the following pictures are taken with flash.

Two coats, no topcoat:

Isn’t that just a lovely, lovely colour?

And I love the rainbows too, they’re so pretty!

Here’s what the polish looks like when it’s not flashed upon:

I made a dotticure out of it. I used another Ellagee for the dots, namely Chase the Clouds Away, a soft sky blue with tiny rainbow coloured glitter and scattered holographic shimmer. I dotted on the dots and finished the whole thing off with a layer of topcoat. Here’s my final mani taken with flash:

And here’s the same thing in the lightbox. That purple is just gorgeous!

Verdict:
This is one of my best Ellagee polishes! It simply ticks all the right boxes: Formula, coverage, drying time, prettiness, rainbow goodness! I’m amazed and I can assure you that no pictures do this polish any justice at all. If you’re a true lover of purples and holos you should definitely get your own bottle of Shake a Poor Sinner’s Hand! Bravo!!
