Essence ~ 171 Galactic Glam
Teal packed with shimmer
Today it’s time for a very simple mani. I started out with Galactic Glam
from Essence. It’s such a lovely teal and it is absolutely packed with shimmer,
and I love it. The formula is great and the polish is almost self applying. It
was almost opaque after the first coat, but the second coat enhanced the colour
a lot. Drying time is really good too.
Just for the record: My camera broke yesterday! :( I took it in for repair and they said it
might take 10 workdays to fix. So as from today I borrowed my boyfriend’s (admittedly
casual, everyday and lower end) camera. I obviously need some time to get used
to it, but please know that I’ve done my best. I promise that the pictures will
be better from day to day :D
Okay, now that we’ve got that established, let’s get back to the polish.
Here’s two coats and no topcoat:
I applied bling! One coat of Golden Rose #107 from the Jolly Jewels
collection. It’s a two sized green/teal glitter and it’s absolutely gorgeous! I
love this on top of the Galactic Glam.
I pretty much liked it like this, but did decide to make it look even
prettier in the sunshine too. I applied a layer of Ellagee’s holographic
topcoat “Rainbow Syrup”. It’s a gorgeous holo topper that doesn’t grey the
underlaying colour. Take a look at how “discrete” it looks in the shade:
Here’s the holo goodness taken with the flash.
How's that? ♥
I love Essence nail polishes. They are great and at $2.00 a bottle you can't beat them. They should be nicknamed the smart girl polish.
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I'm a fan too - they do make some really cool and nicely priced polishes :)
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about your camera! I hope you can get it repaired sooner than promissed :D
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely combination of polishes!! I love the end result <3
Yeah, it's a bummer, really!
DeleteAnd thank you - it's so much fun layering :)
This Essence is definitely worth having in your stash, I think. It looks very well top coated too. I hope that your camera will be back soon ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with Essence as a rule! And I love this one :)
DeleteAww, I'm sorry about your camera, a good thing they can fix it....
ReplyDeleteThis is more a you than me shade, but with the added holo it is gorgeous :)
This is definitely me - I'm thinking pretty mermaids and calm, nice water :) Thank you :)
DeleteI liked Galactic Glam with Golden Rose #107 over it. Looks amazing. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased to hear that, thank you :)
DeleteOh no sorry to hear about the camera! That's a long time to wait :-O
ReplyDeleteGG looks amazing and I like the additions to it :-)
Yes, that is REALLY annoying, but I will obviously manage for a little while :)
DeleteA lot of teal and blue - love that!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, me too! :)
DeleteGosh I love essence, it just goes to show you don't have to spend big bucks to get a gorgeous polish. And your photos are definitely not the worst I seen. Hope your camera is fixed soon:)
ReplyDeleteI wish they'd sell Essence here, but I guess that taxes and VAT would make an inexpensive brand pretty expensive, so perhaps it's a good thing I can buy them on holidays :)
