Essence ~ 171 Galactic Glam

Essence ~ 171 Galactic Glam
Teal packed with shimmer

Today it’s time for a very simple mani. I started out with Galactic Glam from Essence. It’s such a lovely teal and it is absolutely packed with shimmer, and I love it. The formula is great and the polish is almost self applying. It was almost opaque after the first coat, but the second coat enhanced the colour a lot. Drying time is really good too.

Just for the record: My camera broke yesterday! :(  I took it in for repair and they said it might take 10 workdays to fix. So as from today I borrowed my boyfriend’s (admittedly casual, everyday and lower end) camera. I obviously need some time to get used to it, but please know that I’ve done my best. I promise that the pictures will be better from day to day :D

Okay, now that we’ve got that established, let’s get back to the polish. Here’s two coats and no topcoat:

I applied bling! One coat of Golden Rose #107 from the Jolly Jewels collection. It’s a two sized green/teal glitter and it’s absolutely gorgeous! I love this on top of the Galactic Glam.

I pretty much liked it like this, but did decide to make it look even prettier in the sunshine too. I applied a layer of Ellagee’s holographic topcoat “Rainbow Syrup”. It’s a gorgeous holo topper that doesn’t grey the underlaying colour. Take a look at how “discrete” it looks in the shade:

Here’s the holo goodness taken with the flash.

How's that? ♥

  1. I love Essence nail polishes. They are great and at $2.00 a bottle you can't beat them. They should be nicknamed the smart girl polish.

    1. I wish they'd sell Essence here, but I guess that taxes and VAT would make an inexpensive brand pretty expensive, so perhaps it's a good thing I can buy them on holidays :)
