OPI Gwen Stefani Holiday collection 2014 including the Rollin’ in Cashmere trio

OPI Gwen Stefani Holiday collection 2014 including the Rollin’ in Cashmere trio
~ Swatches

This polish is from the new Gwen Stefani Holiday collection:

You don’t recognize it? There’s a reason for that – but I’ll get back to that at the end of the post.

The first polish I’ve chosen to show you is Rollin’ in Cashmere – a gold metallic shimmer. It’s a part of the “Rollin’ in Cashmere”-collection. I used two coats for my swatches, and the drying time between coats is fast. It’s a little bit prone to leaving brush strokes, but not as visible in real life as here. Shown with a layer of topcoat over it.

My camera honestly hates to capture gold polishes.

One last shot of it:

Here’s what the Rollin’ in Cashmere-trio looks like:

That brings us to Comet in the Sky, which is a glitter topper with black and iridescent glitter and hexes. It’s also a part of the “Rollin’ in Cashmere”-collection. It’s shown over Rolling in Cashmere. Easy to apply, and I didn’t have to fish for the glitter.

I really like the gold much better with this glitter over it.

Comet in the Sky can be used to spice up pretty much any mani.

Let’s move right on to Cinnamon Sweet, a lovely classic red with a brick red hue to it. It’s a crème. It’s very easy to work with and dries fast. If all OPI polishes were as easy to work with and well behaving as this one, I would definitely buy more of them! Tip: Do not get Cinnamon Sweet on your cuticles, because once it’s there it won’t get off again :D

Here’s two coats and no topcoat.

I dig this!

<3

Snow Globetrotter is the third polish of the “Rollin’ in Cashmere”-collection. It’s shown one coat over Cinnamon Sweet. Not as easy to work with as the black glitter, but I didn’t have to fish. I had to dab the big hexes onto the nails to place them where I wanted them. It’s shown with a layer of topcoat over it.

I love that some of the glitters and hexes are iridescent!

Snowflakes on my nails!

Let’s move on to I Carol About You – yet another OPI with a goofy name. It’s a vibrant purple with a really subtle shimmer. I love the colour, a really pleasant purple. It’s easy to work with and covers well. I used two coats for my swatches and no topcoat. It smells really weird when it’s applied – a little bit like fish. Odd! It’s a shimmer and I can see the shimmer in the bottle, but it’s really really shy on the nails, both with and without topcoat. It’s shown without the topcoat:

I have to zoom in a lot to get a glimpse of the shimmer, and I still have difficulties seeing it.

This colour is amazing!

Kiss me – or Elf is a magenta shimmer, I knew I had to have this one, it’s a colour I really love. The formula seems a bit uneven after the first coat, but it turned out to be self-levelling, which is a great thing. I used two coats for the swatches. No topcoat.

Mmmm, pretty!

I’d buy this again for sure!

Okay – it’s time to reveal the last one of the bunch, which is the one I showed you on the very first picture in this post. The picture was taken before shaking the polish – it separates quite a bit.

Take a look at this before and after shaking-picture:

It is of course Red Fingers and Mistletoes. I bet you didn’t guess that! ;)

It’s my favourite of the bunch! It’s a red and gold shimmer – a fantastic polish. The formula is good and it covers in two easy coats. I knew this one wouldn’t let me down.

Take a look:

That, dear girls, is my kryptonite right there!

*swoon*

That’s the polishes of The Gwen Stefani Holiday collection I’ve chosen to show. They are not all mine – so thank you to sweet Alicia for letting me swatch her polishes and put them in this post! <3

There are more polishes in the collection, but these are my picks and I only buy polishes I really like.

I hope you enjoyed this post :)

  1. I like all of these, the golden one reminds me of a Flormar for nail art I have :O The black glitter is the least liked by me, but the rest is great :)

  3. Wow, Red Fingers and Mistletoes did really change into a completely new polish after it was shaken. Cool, but it's reallly gorgeous. I love Cinnamon Sweet, I Carol About You and Kiss me – or Elf too. :-)

    1. It changed tremendously! Unfortunately it settles again and it does require quite a lot of shaking, but yes, definitely beautiful! :)
