Ulta ~ Alter Ego

Ulta ~ Alter Ego
Bluey teal packed with shimmer – with an almost metallic finish

I got this baby in a swap event a while ago and have actually been looking forward to trying it on. Today’s the day, yay!

The formula is good and the polish covers really well. I was almost satisfied after one coat, but the second coat evened everything out, making everything just a little bit better. The drying time is a bit faster than average.

Here’s what two coats and no topcoat looks like in the sun:

What I really like about this polish is that it’s not prone to brush strokes. I love metallics but I’m not crazy about brush strokes, so this is perfect for me!

I grabbed a glitter topper from Salon Perfect and dapped some glitter and hexes by the base of my nails. The glitter is called Silver Sparkler. I applied a layer of topcoat to smooth everything out and here’s my final mani in the sun:

One last shot. I like this a lot.

Reverse glitter gradients are my to go-manis. I love the simplicity and the sparkliness of it.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: A bit faster than average
Finish: Shimmer to an extent so it looks like a metallic
Overall impression: This is a me-colour, no doubt about that. And I love the finish too!
Buy again: Yes
