Ellagee ~ Heebee GEEbee Pumpkin
Orange scattered holo
Heebee GEEbee Pumpkin is a Facebook fangroup exclusive, it was limited edition and can no longer be bought, sorry about that. When I saw it first I knew it would never be my favourite Ellagee polish, but I’m a sucker for exclusives and limited editions, so there you have it. The polish was made in two versions: One pure orange, such as I bought, and the same orange with black glitter in it. I didn’t like the look of the black glitter and was thrilled when it was offered without it.
Anyway, back to the polish. The formula is good and easy to apply. I wasn’t very careful with application though so I had to use three coats before I was satisfied. On a good day I’d say that two coats is enough. Drying time is okay. I applied a layer of topcoat before I took my pictures.
Here’s three coats and a layer of topcoat – the picture is taken in the sunshine.
I like the way the polish glows in the sun.
I mean – look at this:
I’ll show you why this won’t ever be one of my favourite Ellagees. Here’s what it looks like in ordinary daylight:
See? Bear in mind that I’m not an autumn-colour kinda gal, then you’ll probably understand what I mean. It’s nice, but it’s not really my hue. I love it nonetheless because it’s special! ♥
Anyway – I tried to make some nail art on it, but failed. I have seen some really cool sponging on other blogs – where girls take a bit of sponge and dab polish on while holding the sponge with tweezers, but that really isn’t as easy as it looks. I failed miserably and removed the whole thing before even finishing :D
Number of coats: 3
Drying time: Okay
Drying time: Okay
Finish: Scattered holo
Overall impression: I like the quality of Ellagee’s polishes as a rule.
Buy again: Yes – because it’s a special. Not if it was in the core line of polishes
