Colors by Llarowe ~ The Sweetest Thing

Colors by Llarowe ~ The Sweetest Thing
Purple jelly with shimmer and sparks

The Sweetest Thing is from the Valentine Collection from 2014. And yes, it has been sitting in the box since then. Sorry, little polish.

The formula was on the sheerer side – it is a jelly after all. I have read that it’s a two coater but I used three coats before I was satisfied with the coverage. The drying time was good, fortunately. The smell was different than any other CbL polish I’ve got. It doesn’t smell bad as such, but it definitely smells different to all its sisters and brothers.

My own camera is broken, dagnabbit, so here’s a few pictures that I took with my boyfriend’s phone (S6 128 Gb. Fan TASTIC camera. I want it.)

Three coats and no topcoat in the sun:

The shimmer is really beautiful in this polish!

I added a dot by the base of each nail. It’s Dance Legend’s #76 from the Fresh collection. And I also added a layer of Ellagee’s Rainbow Syrup, because holo makes everything better.

This is the final mani:

This picture is taken in my lightbox.

I’m usually not a fan of jellies and especially not if they require three coats to cover, so I was really ready to not like this polish. But honestly: I love it! I am willing to forgive all its little flaws and imperfections

Number of coats: 3
Drying time: Very good
Finish: Jelly with shimmer
Overall impression: Beautiful polish. Smells odd and is a 3 coater.
Buy again: Yes I would
