Dark Blond ~ Love Potion

Dark Blond ~ Love Potion
Magenta crème

I don’t buy many crème polishes; I prefer holo, shimmer, metallic and other kinds of interesting finishes. Crème polishes are just… yeah… crème polishes, haha. Once in a while I come across a polish with such a great colour that I buy it – even if it’s a crème. Love Potion is such a colour.

The formula is good and Love Potion is a one coater. I used two coats because I prefer that, it didn’t make much of a difference though. The drying time is good.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat:

You know me: I added holo! One layer of Revlon’s Holographic Pearls did the trick. I love that topper!

And then I stamped on it. The motif is from the stamping plate XY-P15 and I stamped with Colour Alike’s stamping polish B. a Rainy Mood.

Here’s the final mani including a layer of Moyra’s stamping topcoat.

These are the three polishes I used:

Dark Blond is (as far as I know) a Danish brand and I have never seen it outside Denmark. It’s cheap and they mostly make crème polishes. Once in a while I find a gem like this one.

Number of coats: 2, but 1 is enough
Drying time: Good
Finish: Crème, very shiny
Overall impression: Fantastic colour, good quality, polish smells a bit
Buy again: Yes
