Painted Polish ~ Monster on Mirkwood

Painted Polish ~ Monster on Mirkwood
Described as pinkish red, scattered holo with black ultra holographic glitters and an aqua shimmer

Yesterday I showed you my first Painted Polish and was really disappointed in it because the colour of it was so different on the pictures in the shop than the actual polish. Today I am going to try another one. I bought four. Stay tuned to find out if I’m spending more of my money on that brand.

I love pinks and reds and especially with holo, glitter and/or shimmer.

I used two coats for full coverage. The drying time is average.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat. Here’s a link to what the polish is pictured like in the webshop. Not quite the same, is it?

The polish looks like this in ordinary daylight, no sun. It’s a pretty polish, but how the heck did the swatcher make it look prettier than in real life?

I’m still working with my new stamper from Moyou London, the sticky one. Today I went for a motif from Delaney that I had trouble picking up before. I am happy to report that the Moyou stamper picked the motif up effortlessly. I’m not so happy to report that I’m not great at placing the motifs evenly on my nails, haha!

Here’s my final mani including a layer of topcoat.

I’ve still got two more Painted Polishes to go. I doubt that I’ll be buying more of them. I sit with the feeling of false advertising and I don’t like that. How do you feel about this subject? Do you look on nail polish pictures as art or should they reflect what the polishes look like in real life?

Update: I have contacted Lexi from Painted Polish to hear if I have received a bad batch of polish or why my polishes don't look like on the photos in the shop. She got back to me right away and apologized and will change the pictures in the webshop. She will also try to make things right for me - so thank you so much for great customer service. That makes such a great difference for me! ♥

Update2: I ended up being refunded for this. Thank you to both Lexi and to Hypnotic Polish!
